Are there long term affects of overdosing on Advil (ibuprofen)?...  2 nights ago i took 30 advil and ended up in the ER. but i didnt feel any different than normal. i only went to the ER because my heart was beating really fast (probably from adrenaline) so i got scared and told my mom what i did. but i felt fine and still do. the nurse gave me an IV and told me to drink this black charcoal stuff so the advil doesnt damage my internal organs. but it was rlly gross so when she turned around i spilled it out into a cup and told her i drank it (she bought it). but now i looked it up and it said for a girl my size i should be dead right now (which was the plan). im scared that maybe something could be going wrong inside me right now and ill just be suffering for the few years till i die. if anyone has ANY tips or experience with this please comment.

2)   Short term effects (within a few days) would be related to bleeding or kidney damage.

Longer term, you can have problems if you did enough damage to your liver; but it also has some ability to heal itself.

urine tract infection won't go away help!!!!!!!?...  hello, i have an urine tract infection i went to the doctors to get antibiotics for it but it has been 6 days and it still won't go away i have been drinking plenty of water to. im sick of it and i don't wanna go back to the doctors because she keeps asking me if I've had sex when i haven't and i just hate going in general the doctor gets me angry please help

1)   Cranberry juice and lots of it, Antibiotics didn't work for me either - felicia

2)   Finish the antibiotics and if you still don't feel better you need to tell the doctor cuz you might need differrent antibiotics. If it's an infection it will not go away on it's own and may even get worse. - KB929

3)   Sometimes the antibiotics need to be changed to something stronger, especially if the infection has progressed up the urinary tract toward the kidneys.

It is the doctor's job to fix your problem, and there are STDs which can cause very similar symptoms. The doctor is simply trying to make sure you are treated for the right problem.

Finish the entire course of antibiotics. If you are still not better, go back to the doctor. - guber naculum

HIV question...........................?...  I was looking at the news today and 1 in 5 people who are gay have hiv, and it affects 4 million people, its a epidemic. and it just made me a bit sad, cause thinking of all them people living such a grim life..is there anything the scientist can do to find a cure for these people? Does the cure exist? whats your view?

2)   There are thousands of scientists researching HIV. To scientists in the field, this is not new. We don't have a cure for the common cold, either. Viruses are very difficult to cure.

im having Chest pains in the middle of my chest im worried!?...  Im an anxiety sufferer im 15 years old 6ft tall 66kg for the past 20 mins i have been having chest pains in the middle of my chest its like burning and pushing pain and i can feel my heart pump weirdly and makes me shortness of breath for a few secounds its not very bad but is very uncomfortable im really worried about it i don't know if i should go to the emergency room and have an ECG done to confirm my heart iv'e had ECG's done before but nothing came out please help me out i don't know what to do should i take a medicine which one should i take?

1)   You should at least call a doctor but they will most likely tell you to come in. Might be better to go to the hospital emergency if you have someone to drive you. If not go to a neighbor and ask them to take you. Shortness of breath is a sign of a possible heart attack although at your age it shouldn't be one. I had an anxiety attack before that had the same symptoms of a heart attack but I was ok. Ask your parents if you can get ahold of one of them. - cdabexx
