peanut allergy information?

Question 1
peanut allergy information?...  I developed a peanut/nut allergy about a year ago. I have found like many others have that there is a lack of information out there on safe places to eat out. I'm very careful at home and don't have a problem reading ingredients, but cooking and eating at home all the time is a pain. Vacation? Out with friends or family. Don't even get me started on eating at somebody else's house.
So I would like to start a list of things we know are safe to eat and places we can eat out at.
I have found that Hershey's does make one chocolate bar with the shiny wrapper that was not precessed in a factory that contains peanuts/nuts. Besides that I stay away from desserts unless I make them.
As far as places to eat, I have not had a problem with Papa Johns Pizza, Quaker Steak & Lube, Tops, or Red Robin.

Answers
1)   I have had a peanut allergy all my life (im 34) and usually have no problems eating out. Nowadays many resturants know about food allergies and usually make those ingredients known! Most packaged candy is safe, and they say that for their safety. Just make sure to check menus at the bottoms and within the descriptions! Good Luck and always keep benadryl (over the counter allergy medication) in your pocket for emergencies! - Machinegirl

4)   I wrote a term paper on Malaria in college that was easy to find information about through the CDC web site. What I found interesting is the disease isn't that easy to diagnose because the parasites aren't always present. They are released into the blood stream at intervals and usually at night because in order to spread, the victim has to be bitten by the female Anopheles mosquito and the mosquito only feeds at night. Hope this helps. - tegu57

Question 3
how to deal with colotius?...  what kind of foods would be best to clear this constant diarrhea up? Over 2 months and is really getting me depressed!

Answers
1)   Colitis? Have you been diagnosed by a doctor? Foods won't clear up diarrhea, you need to see a Gastroenterologist. I used to work for a GI doc and I know that a lot of people have this problem. It certainly can be depressing but you really should get a workup from a specialist (GI doctor), you may need some lab work to diagnose and some medication to help manage your problem. - JustaGirl
