Why does it cost to much to "find" the "cure" to AIDS?

Why does it cost to much to "find" the "cure" to AIDS?...  Celebrities donates MILLIONS OF MILLIONS of money all that money must add up to like several BILLIONS maybe a trillion. Same with charities. its crazy how much money is being put into finding the cure for aids, which feels like impossible because we still haven't found it yet. So where does this money end up? And why does it cost so much? It seems RIDICULOUS to me. Also if the cure were found how much do you think it would cost to get "treatment"? I think you'd have to be rich to get the cure because it cost soooooooooo much trying to make it.
Ok but does it cost a million dollars to do that? That's so crazy. I wouldn't even think about giving millions of dollars to finding the cure to aids because they already have so much. Or do spend it? Like really to do that cell thing does it really cost 10 million dollars? Crazy.

1)   like the common cold, AIDS evolves often. it is nearly impossible because we can not find a cure for a constantly evolving disease. it is a bummer that that is true...but unfortunately it is not likely that we will EVER find a cure. - Zander Day

2)   Well, basically AIds is a virus. A virus is very hard to cure because it uses your DNA and cells to reproduce. If you try to kill the virus you end up killing the person. The money is going in to finding ways to selectively kill only the cells that have the AIDS virus in them. There are now ways to slow it's reproduction but no one can find a way to stop it completely. That is why so many HIV positive people don't ever end up with AIDS. 3)   Finding cures for any disease costs a lot of money because a lot of research has to be conducted, both on the disease itself, and trialing treatments to find ones that may be effective. Basically, it suppresses the symptoms of AIDS so effectively that in many cases, the virus can no longer be detected in a normal blood test. People on HAART no longer die from AIDS. HAART is very expensive, though, so people in third world countries do not have much access to it. In the US, however, the government will pay for your treatment, so even the poor have access to it (if they seek out the available resources, that is).

The person still has AIDS, though, because once diagnosed with AIDS, you can no longer regress back into being HIV positive (There is a movement trying to change this).

The money donated to AIDS charities don't just go to "finding a cure." They are invested in prevention (mainly through educational programs), treatment for those in third world countries, and education on how to deal with AIDS for those infected and their families.

Help!!! I have super oily skin is there anything that you guys recommend to help control my greasy face?...  Oily

1)   Find a cleanser that's not harsh on your skin. I had that problem as a teenager, but many of the "acne" face products weren't good for my skin. Try using an Aveeno oatmeal soap bar, unscented. Make sure you use makeup products that are homeogenic and are 100% oil-free. I like to use Clinique's gel lotion. It costs about $20 but lasts a long time.

You might just have to try a lot of different things to find what works best for you. I still have to shop around quite a bit to find the right makeups and soaps. - Laurie

It sounds like you just need a good facial astringent. Facial astringent is as good in generic form as it is in brand name form since it all has the same effective ingredients (alcohol). The generics only cost less. The alcohol base to astringents will sap out all of the oil that clogs your skin. Just apply a fair amount to a cotton ball and make sure that you thoroughly cleanse your face using circular motions. Even get your neck, behind your ears and on the back of your neck and shoulders (these areas collect A LOT of oil). As you are cleaning your skin pay attention to your cotton ball and when you see the cotton ball has collected a good amount of dirt and oil just throw it away and repeat. Do this about every other day because if you overdo it then it will make your skin dry and deprive it of the natural oil balance that it needs. This should help, thanks.

I have tonsillitis and im looking for the best and fastest way to get rid of it! Any suggestions?...  Ive tried the warm salt water, tea with lemon juice, hot wash rags on the outside of my throat,caugh drops, warm water. Anything else out there? OH!!! and i do smoke will that affect it? make it worse or not?
i have no insurance so i cannot go to a doctor i cannot afford the bills. So ideas around the house or store please

1)   When I had tonsillitis, I had to go to the doctor and schedule surgery to get it removed. It sucks, a lot, but now I almost never have a sore throat unless I've been vomiting, and the stomach acid has burned my throat. - Sara W

2)   Go to the doctor and take antibiotics he gives... Or if you want then take Ciprofloxacin tablet and continue it 2 times a day till a week.......

Second bring chlorhexidin organic solution and warm water and add one spoon in it and do gargles.........
