1)   Glucose is used up from your muscles first once all of your muscles run out of Glucose it switches to the glucose stored in your liver and later it switches to burning fat and protein. Help with asking mom about acne products?...  I am 13 with very moderate acne and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on asking my mom on buying me something for it. I dont need a dermatologist yet because its just milia right now. All I want is something like Clean n Clear or AcneFree. Which do you suggest? And how should i bring it up?

3)   I use a generic brand with 10% benzoil peroxide. It comes from Walgreens. Maybe you can say something like "There are some ________ on sale at Walgreens. I need some for school. Can we go?"
When you are there, just look for it and drop it in the cart and if she asks, just say "I just want my face to look a little better."

How to get rid of acne scarring?...  I had pretty bad acne from the time i hit puberty. last summer my face completely broke out and i was outside a lot. it wasn't until august that i started using epiduo. that saved my skin (thank goodness) so now i don't actually break out anymore. just an occasional pimple here or there. the bad thing is that i have spots on my face where there's marks from acne that was there previously. i have quite a few, so it looks like i'm broken out a little sometimes. is there any way to get rid of these scars? they really bother me :/

Website for parents of Type 1 Diabetics to learn?...  I have Type 1 and feel like my mother knows nothing making me feel very unsafe. She just writes off the lessons of the nurse educator as something I should know because it is so technical (with the pump and all). It makes me feel very nervous that she will not know how to react in the case of emergency. On two occasions she didn't know what to do when my BG was 265 and needed to check for ketones. I was vigorously searching for my ketometer as to avoid possible emergency, but she didn't even get up to help and said "you'll be fine" and went back to her tv show. Needless to say, I am furious. Is there any single site with explanations on what to do in every occasion? Such as how to administer glucagon (I wonder if she knows what it is...) when low. Or what to do when ketone positive or how to know.

From your writing I feel she wishes to ween you from her constant care. Yes, she cares deeply, but wants you to take charge of yourself. This is "tough love"! Believe me, she is not comfortable with it either, but feels you will soon be off to college and out of her care so she has to do it this way.

As parents we must cut the apron strings sometime and she wants to know how you react to stress of having complete control of your body before you leave home and her constant care. Yes, it is a very hard thing to do.

How do I get that sticky hospital tape residue off of my skin?...  I have ALREADY TRIED rubbing alcohol, baby oil, hydrogen peroxide, in addition to good old fashion soap and water and yet it's STILL STICKY. HELP!
