Question 2
How high does a fever need to be to kill you?...  I was wondering because everyone tells me that at about 106 you'd be dead and you'd start to get brain damage at 105, but when I was 12 I had a fever of 107.3 and I'm still alive without any brain damage. I have CIPA, which makes me unable to feel pain or sweat, and since I can't sweat I am at a much higher risk of getting hyperpyrexia (an extremely high fever) but that doesn't make me any more likely to survive it. All I had was an ear infection, but since I can't sweat when I'm sick, like most people can, the fever keeps building up. In fact, every time I get sick I get a fever of atleast 104. Apparently I'm a medical mystery because not only I've survived a fever of 107.3 and have had repeated fevers of over 104, I never sustained any brain damage. My hearing and vision are perfect, I have numerical dyslexia but that has nothing to do with the fevers. How high does a fever have to get to cause brain damage, and how high does it have to get to cause death?

1)   At 107 your organs begin to shut down. So i would say around 109, 110? - Asmah

2)   its 106. 107.3 omg ur lucky to be a live! - Ghetto swaqq

3)   This may be incorrect but I'll share what limited knowledge I have;
You have enzymes in your body which are natural catalysts, that means, they speed up metabolic functions without being used up in the process. Enzymes work at their maximum productivity rate, converting substrate within your cells into polypeptides (a.k.a PROTEINS), when a certain temperature is maintained. Enzymes achieve this by somewhat consuming substrate, making it meet with its actives site (imagine pac-man is an enzyme; his mouth would by his active site) and changing it into proteins (I won't go into extreme detail). If your bodies temperature was to heat up, this would cause the productivity rate to decrease due to the fact that the active site on the enzyme (pac-mans mouth) would no longer accommodate substrate within the cell, as in the would no longer fit in pac-mans mouth very well. If your body temperature reaches far beyond a certain temperature, the enzymes denature so that they no longer convert substrate to polypeptides and we all know proteins and needed to maintain your body... resulting in... well.... permanent brain damage or death. Therefore depending on what proteins maintain what part of the body will enable you to discover what parts of your body should become damaged at what temperature.

Or if that is too long for you... I'll guess that you are a mutant off X-Men who can survive extreme heat (y) - Dan

4)   120 high - Jamal Ray

2)   Colon cleaning is the latest method to reduce weight. Researchers have noted the point that not all unwanted weight is due to surplus fat, a lot of weight simply lies there in your pipes, and all you have to do is rinse it out. http://helont.makersdiet.info has a risk free trial on right now, give it a try, you can reduce as much as twenty pounds! - lolita vanhoozer

3)   u do not need to get it checked out, the reason it happens becuz u get under a lot of stress when ur mad, it could be an anxiety disorder but nothing to worry about, when u get mad u tense up and it slows the blood circulation so the places that feel tingly and weak are places that were cut off by the tenseness and less blood than needed was getting to those places, its perfectly normal tho, it happens to everyone - Nicole Smith
