so.i joined the army and just found out i have herpes type 2?...  is this going to disqualify me from basaic combat training?i leave in 5 months...ive alreay swore in..tested positive AFTER the fact...will this get me discharged?can i still go to bootcamp and AIT? ...what are the next steps i should take...id really appreciate if someone with knowledge on this could help me out please...

Why was he recommended for a biopsy?...  My dad (55, no family history, healthy, normal weight, no previous problems) had the PSA and DRE tests, and the doctor said nothing about the PSA test to him.
Does this mean its normal?

Also, the DRE test proved there to be a small bump on the surface of a regular feeling prostate. The physician referred my dad to a urologist, who said the same thing. The Urologist said there was a very small chance for there to be prostate cancer (He jokingly said something along the lines of 0.1%, which was an exaggeration obviously, and he didn't seem worried at all), but he said my dad should be safe and have the biopsy.
So of course my dad did that, and hes waiting on the results.
Do you think this is prostate cancer? And with prostate cancer and today's medicine, would you expect him to survive (if he has it, God forbid) to 75+ (basically i mean would be live an average life span).

1)   Why would you think .1% was an obvious exaggeration? He's saying it's almost 100% sure it's nothing to be concerned about, but better safe than sorry. If caught early, prostate cancer is very treatable. - april

2)   As biopsy report is awaited,it is better to wait for final diagnosis.
As Urosurgeon said chances are very less,believe him.
He recommended Bx,as precautionary approach,which is admirable.
I also think it will not be Ca. prostate,but suppose it turns out against all odds,then radical prostactetomy will be advised and Your Dad will have good quality average life span if and only if procedure is done by Experienced URO ONCO SURGEON. - MOHAN

I have bumps on my vagional aread, around the pubic hair?...  Yes, i do shave almost once a week and i have always had a problem with razor burn. but for some reason these bumps are different.(more soar and not filled with puss) i am 18 and sexually active, i have had around 5 partners but i'm pretty positive they are all clean. Not 100% sure tho. I just got these bumps about a week ago.. but i have not had sex in about a month which makes me doubtful that it is a std.. but when they showed up my pubic hair was quite long.. not freshly shaved... so i dont know why they would randomly show up. PLEASE HELP
