autism help and advise, very worried mum?

Question 1
autism help and advise, very worried mum?...  i posted a question on here about a week ago, although now my situation is slightly different now. i have a daughter at 17months, she is very pleasant and developed all her milestones on time. my main problem with her is, she doesnt respond when i call her, sometimes (rarely) she does but more often not, its almost like she is ignoring me, she gets so involved in her play that she wont even know i am calling her name, or like i said, she could be ignoring me??

her eye contact is not so great either, if im playing silly games with her on the floor, such as "gonna get you" she will look at me, otherwise its only for a couple of seconds if i get her attention. she does not point either or communicate with me, if she is upset she will say "mamma" and lift up her arms for cuddles. she does not follow my instructions either like she does not understand.

she says about 3 words. she loves affection, plays well alongside other children and plays with her toys correctly, she doesnt have any odd behaviour with her toys. she does not walk on tiptoes. she does clap hands, give me 5, and give me a kiss when i ask.

i took her to my doctor who said he was concerned about her not responding to her name, he has refered her to a paediatrician. i also took her to see a paediatrician nurse in the mean time who told me, she had pretty good eye contact with her ( for the 5 mins she saw her) and that i should just wait and see whats said when i see the pediatrician in may. she refered me back to my doctor, this time a different one, who told me there is nothing wrong with my little girl and put me on antidepressants, she didnt examine her in any way, just looked at her and got smiles in return, she told me that she is a normal healthy child.

im worried sick now, do you think i am being ignored? or that i should be concerned about my little girl. what other possible reason could there be for her not responding? her ears are fine and been tested. also with the eye contact not so good. and the not pointing???

Question 2
why is my heart beating so fast?...  i drank a lot of beer last night and didn't eat, and now this morning my heart is beating really fast. is it just part of the hangover or something else?

Answers
1)   OMG. Wow. - Jessica

2)   It is a combination of anxiety (which is a rebound symptom of alcohol use) and fluid and electrolyte loss/imbalance.

Drink hydrating fluids, water, gatorade/powerade.. eat whatever you can handle and sleep. You will be fine. - Jared

3)   If you drank a significant amount of alcohol the previous night you might be slightly dehydrated (electrolyte imbalance). This can cause an increased heart rate. - Terp09

4)   ...if that is not one of your 'usual' hangover symptoms...then no it is not part of the hangover

...different people experience hangovers differently...but if you have been hungover before and not had this problem than it is probably not because of your drinking last night...nor the hangover

if it continues past today...or it gets worse go to the ER!!! - DIXIE

Question 3
Is there something in well water that breaks your skin out?...  Is there a way that I can use the water without my face breaking out so badly?
im not used to the water and my skin is breaking out so bad i cant stand to take pictures anymore!! also the house we moved into has sat for like 3 years and we had to put pool cleaning stuff (chlorine) in there to make the water not dirty anymore.

2)   Call someone from the city to check your wellwater for bacterial and viral threats or toxic substances. Regular water is not supposed to do that to you, there might be something in your well that's causing this. - M'aiq the Liar

3)   Well water is usually hard water, and contains minerals such as calcium and magnesium that clogs the pores. It also usually has chlorine (to purify it) and fluoride that both irritate the skin. hard water also makes soap harder to rinse, and the resulting soap residue can also cause breakouts, dryness and irritation.

There are several things you can do to avoid having well water cause breakouts:
1. Use distilled water for your face. If that isn't possible, you can also

2. Make sure you use cold/cooler water for your face, because hot water opens up your pores, making it easier for the minerals and residue to get in and clog them, causing breakouts.

3. Use an easier to rinse off soap substitute.

4. Make sure you use toner and a moisturizer afterwards to get rid of the mineral residue, soap residue and prevent dryness.

Hope it helps! :) - jiudelaw

Question 5
Pilonidal cyst question?...  it was December when i found out i had a pilonidal cyst it was one of the most painful experiences ever. i was treated and had surgery. i had to clean the hole of the cyst everyday and fill it with gauze sponges it closed up by February and now it starting to hurt more and i notice redness the day before. its more discomfort than pain but i am worried.

Answers
1)   I had a pilonidal cyst last year and had surgery to have it removed and it hasn't bothered me at all. Did you have surgery, or did you just have it drained? I would call your doctor if i were you, because having it removed should remove any chance of it coming back. Hope i helped. - Shanna Banana

2)   It is scar tissue getting inflamed. I had the same thing at the base of my spine about 12 years ago ans my incision scar still acts up every now and then. Usually if I have to sit for a prolonged period of time, or wear a certain pair of jeans, there is a seam that hits it "just" right. It goes away after about a day or so, but it can be pretty sore.

Just keep and eye on it, and if it continues for more than two days, or the pain and swelling gets too bad, you may want to call a Doctor, just in case. - JudgeLestyeBeJudged
