If i am 17 and have been drinking for five years about twice a week really heavily am i an alcoholic?

Question 1
If i am 17 and have been drinking for five years about twice a week really heavily am i an alcoholic?...  I have been drinking since i was 12 about twice a week hard vodka. I vomit about half off the time, always passing out, and i go through serious withdraw symptoms on sundays (because i drink on friday and saturday), but strangely i do not want to stop. on vacation i have also passed out up to 15 days straight, and i vacation a lot.\ and always drink a lot. Do i have a problem? should i get help?

Answers
1)   Nope you're just stupid. - Billy

2)   12???!

Fuck me. Be prepared for some kind of liver problem when you're 40. - Ross

3)   Dont know why I was thumbed down. I was a full blown alcoholic and know more than anyone here will post...

I drank two bottles of vodka a day from the early 70's to the late 80's. I was an alcoholic. Twice a week is nothing.

Serious withdrawal effects are seizures and delerium tremolos.

You are fine.

After a decade of drinking 10 times more than you are, my liver started to protest, and since I stopped, it has healed to normal functionality.

When you wake up like I did, shaking and heart going haywire and so desperate for a drink you snap your nails on the wall, then have a seizure you have a problem.

You are FINE. The people here know jack shit. - Jimi Hendrix Guy

4)   Hello H
Do get Help A.S.A.P. your liver is going to let you down very fast at this rate

5)   Yes. 100% yes. I firmly believe if you have to stop and seriously ask yourself if you're addicted to something, it means you are.

I drank heavily as a teenager also. I spent 3 months at an inpatient treatment centre when I was 15, and I think it saved my life.

A person's emotional growth arrests at the point they start abusing substances, or become addicted to other things (food, sex, gambling, etc) If you spend all your spare time escaping from life, how can you hope to mature into a self-sufficient adult?

Unless you want to be an emotional 12 yr old for the rest of your life, get help now, before you stop asking yourself the question. - Shawnda

6)   i wouldn't go as far as to calling you an alcoholic but this sounds sort of like the typical hard drinking teenager. however i don't know you your drinking could be worse than it sounds 15 days is a lot. considering you are posting this question wondering if you need help sort of shows that you might have a problem if you are thinking you might. perhaps you should try drinking less at a time, getting drunk twice in a week is normal for teenagers like the weekend.. but puking and passing out most of the time isn't healthy. don't always use vodka. try some beer, something more soft. otherwise maybe you should talk to someone more professional and get their opinion, you could even tell your doctor that would be a good person to ask. - melly180

7)   you need to lay off the vodka and go for something you can handle like a light beer. - check

Question 2
could you get a disease from someone eating you out?...  if a guy eats you out could you get a disease jw?
but what if both of te partners isnt infected with anything and its thier first time?

Answers
1)   Cancer - Leslieee™

2)   Absolutely. Herpes, gonnorea, anything passed by liquids. - Amber Renee

3)   Yes, any disease passed orally generally. - RKANTER

4)   how do you know it's your partner's first time? the highest risk if your partner has some sort of STD is herpes, which can never be cured. followed probably by HPV, but really, the person doing the oral has the higher chance of contracting it from an exposed partner instead of the other way around... meaning, if he has it, you're not likely going to get it from him going down on you (but you have a high chance of getting it if you go down on him).

so if he DOESN'T have an STD, the likeliest infection you could get would be a yeast infection, which is icky, but very treatable.

if you're going to be sexually active, oral sex is a pretty good way to go. just make sure you're both clean (medically and hygienically). use condoms with lube for intercourse. if you're really worried, you could use condoms and dental dams for oral. - averagejoe7604

5)   Chlamydia, human papillomavirus (HPV), gonorrhea, herpes, hepatitis (multiple strains), and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)—including HIV—can be transmitted through oral sex.
Practice safe sex. - gangadharan nair

6)   does he have a disease. HIV?(transfer of body fluids, saliva) - ET

Question 4
Should I get tested for STD's?...  Ok,

So for the first time today I had oral sex with another man who I have been seeing for a while, only a couple of minutes and he didn't ejaculate. He says he was last checked in January and has always been clean and since he was last tested has only had a couple of partners but always been safe.

Do you think I should get tested for STD's?

Answers
1)   no - Mikey

2)   You should get tested, but just to check if you have anything hereditary.

There is, of course, a chance you caught something, but it's probably in the area of 1/1,000,000.

May as well get a check though, it's free and would clear any worries! - Tristan

3)   No. Gonnorhea is so much fun. - Bob

4)   Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines don't suggest routine STD testing if you don't have any symptoms, unless your sexual practices include having sex with men.

If you're a man who has sex with men, annual testing for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea is recommended. HIV and syphilis can be life-threatening if untreated, and chlamydia and gonorrhea can put you at greater risk of acquiring HIV and other STDs. - Gomer

5)   i'm sort of confused what is weird about this story? it seems normal to me except for the fact it was short and he didn't "go" but that happens it doesn't mean STD. this is my suggestion to you - if you have only been sexually active with this guy you will probably be ok. otherwise if you've had other partners you should get tested (it is something men and women should do once they become sexually active.. girls have papsmeres every year to get tested once they are sexually active). i believe girls are recommended to start getting tested at 16 annually (or when they begin to be sexually active) so i would assume it'd be roughly the same age for a guy. also it never hurts just to get tested to make sure. good luck (and if you used a condom for both of you or whatever then there is a slim chance of contracting anything) - melly180
