Why is my head so itchy??

Question 1
Why is my head so itchy??...  Recently, my head has been itchy, like, really REALLY itchy. I cannot stop scratching. It mostly itches behind my ears and at the nape of my neck. I tried to look at my hair, and i saw a couple white and black things. Why wont my head stop itching? What's wrong with it? <3 thanks.

Answers
1)   you have head lice. - player 0ne

2)   HEAD CRABS!!! - Albert Wesker

3)   lice....go to the doctors and they will order you shampoo - JoJo

4)   You have lice, a thing that lives in your hair.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louse check it out. - Aurielle

5)   A few different things can cause scalp itching. Some people have more oily skin which causes dandruff and scalp irritation. Some shampoos and hair gels may also cause itching, especially if you have never used them before. Then there's head lice. In that case, you would have visible nits (white lice eggs) near the root of the hair follicle. Nasty! - Eric

6)   g'day there

like the others said you definately have
MUNNIES.........

thats australian for head lice
YUK ......poor thing

you need to get some hair wash from the chemist to treat
not only your hair but bed linen (just put it in the wash)

and if you have a vaccum cleaner
give your bed and pillows and vac

this helps get rid of them from the bed
as they can breed in their as well

so for every one in the household you need to do this
its also a good idea to vac the high back lounge chairs

anywhere you sit and your hair falls
yes it sounds alot to do ........

but believe me if this is your first case of munnies
then it certainly wont be your last

it will probalby take a couple of treatments
to get rid of them completely

but the sooner you do it the better you will feel
so do everyones hair and bedding

and you'll soon stop scratching
hope this helps

good luck from down under

Question 2
Is it bad for your skin to write on it with permanent ink marker?...  I don't want a tattoo but I like drawing a heart on my arm with a sharpie, is that bad for my skin if I keep it on for a week or two?

Answers
1)   No, not really. - Jessy

2)   no. you will dye your skin for awhile but eventually it will go away because of the way skin grows. the only thing to worry about is if you have a cut on your skin do not color over the cut or let wet ink into the cut because that's how tattoos happen.

some extremely natural minded individuals will tell you that the chemicals in the sharpie will get into your body through your skin but i wouldn't worry about it too badly. those people are also worried about the fluoride in your drinking water and a large variety of chemicals in your life.

on another note. don't huff sharpies or anything similar, its just stupid. the only side effect is that it kills brain cells. - themangospanker

3)   Try Henna tattoos...not permanent, still fun, as your mood changes so does your tattoo. - Pixie Chick

Question 5
infected cut doesnt hurt.?...  I put hydrogen peroxide on a cut that I know for sure is infected, and it didn't hurt at all.
my mom has a staph infection, would it be possible my cut caught it and the hydrogen peroxide isn't strong enough to kill it of and is why it didn't hurt when I put the peroxide on?
I'm scared I may have to get an amputated arm, I hope I'm not exagerating.

Answers
1)   You are exaggerating though LOL. No you do not have a staph infection. Your wound obviously is either already clean or not infected. Consider yourselve lucky that it DOESNT hurt. Dont worry, you are fine. And if you get a staph infection from your mom, you will get some antibacterial cream and it will clear right up most likely. - Jessy

2)   Hey Trevor, yeah you might be exaggerating a bit. Hydrogen Peroxide (H202), generally doesn't hurt with an open cut, unlike alcohol or other antiseptics. Staph infections are easily transmitted (contagious) and do require antibiotic treatment, so if your infection does not improve with warm/hot soaks 3-4times daily and use of a topical antibiotic like Polysporin or Bacitracian, seek medical help. Tell your mom to clean her infection as well and keep it covered, wash hands before preparing meals, hugging, do not share towels, and continue the full duration of antibiotics prescribed, until they are gone. Hope this helps. - Pixie Chick

3)   g'day there

if you knew the cut was infected and you put prexoide on it is hould burn
regaurdless of being infected or not....

the fact that it did react could mean that the infection has gone deeper
into the muscle and bone....

do you know how you hurt yourself?
was metal involed in getting the injury.....

if so then i suggest you see your doctor
and soon before gangere sets in

you said it was your arm ......
have you lost strength in the arm or hand lately

is there discomfort in your arm pit....
or side .....if your having any systoms

like these then the infection may have spread
so go see a doctor especially if your mum has

a staff infection as there are so many it could get worse

so hope this helps
