Question 2
My brother might have th cure for HIV but needs help?...  Hello everyone,

My name is Amy. I have a brother who has been working on an HIV cure mainly by himself. He is truly a genius. Trust me I am not saying this just because he's my brother. He is an extremely smart and dedicated person. He dropped out of school and dedicated the last 7 years of his life to find a cure for HIV. He is now 26 almost 27, and when I say he was dedicated to this I mean it: he has not worked/went to school/had fun or even hung out with friends in 7 years. Literally 7 years locking himself up in the house doing research. He went to several agencies /organizations trying to get into labs but they did not allow him to do so because he does not have a relevant degree/certificate. About 25 MILLION people died of HIV since it started. I don't know what right these people have to stop someone from doing research just because he didn't have the degree.. And what did the grads do about HIV so far ?!

My brother believes that what he had worked on for these years is absolutely safe

I want to help him because we can't find a way to get volunteers. He is not afraid of doing it without a license because it is from a natural molecule. However I want to know what my brother is getting into by offering the medicine to an HIV positive. Is it illegal even if it didn't have any negative effects? If not, how can he get it out in a legal way, without his idea being taken away from him? Because at the end of the day even if he cares about this cause specifically he still wants to get paid for the work he had done and not some company...

Thank you

1)   If i were him, i would go directly to the government to help. If this is not BS, than he should be able to do it by getting samples of infected cells or tissue from an HIV positive person and showing test results. Maybe it'll work - AntiSocialClub

2)   One of my friends parents is in this type of situation. He had no technical college degree, and did most of the research independently. To avoid laws and find volunteers easier he went on trips to Africa. The laws there were not nearly as conservative as the regulations set forth in the US. You should probably look into it a little bit more, but it's worth a shot! - kris k

3)   If he tests it on people and they die, he will be in serious trouble. I say he should give samples to be analyzed by professionals to see whether it will work. What makes him think it works anyway? - Spanky

4)   first he would have to patent the formula (get a sort of ownership of it) so that if anyone tried to take it from him he could sue theml
then he would have to get it cleared the ..FDA? iuno, there's a drug administration board that all medicines must be cleared through before they are released publicly and manufactured
either that, or he could patent the formula, then sell it to a drug company for millions - Nick B

Question 5
Do whiteheads mean that the zit needs to be popped?...  Cause after I have a zit for a day or two, it turns to a whitehead. Does it mean it needs to be popped?

Answers
1)   No, but I'd do it anyway. A little red mark is better than a pus-filled bubble protruding from your body :( - Pseudonym

2)   Doctors usually say no. When you pop a zit the bacteria gets into the surrounding pores and causes more breakouts. The best thing is to leave it alone. - moondoggy

3)   No pimple "needs" to be popped. When it turns to a white head it means that the puss is close to the surface and can come out easily. Popping usually lets it dry up faster but you also risk spreading the puss sideways under the skin or getting an infection which scars. - Noota Oolah
