Stopped smoking feeling unwell?...  I've stopped smoking for 3 weeks now and don't feel too good i was just wondering if it's my body wondering where the cigarettes are does this happen. The first week i felt great but now i can't expain how am feeling just weird i don't want to have a cigarette anyone help me on this?

1)   im just guessing here.... maybe its in your mind?

or buy some nicorette patches? - Todd

2)   addiction is STRONG! but try to fight it, your body craves it because your so addicted to it. try chewing gum instead just DONT even look at those death rolls called cigarettes - Mario Mario

3)   Tobacco is a drug and a very addictive one at that so what you are going through is withdrawal symptoms. This is the same kind of thing a heroin user would experience and you will just have to continue to struggle. It will be worth it as your health will improve and hopefully you wont have suffered any long term damage.
There are things available to help you through it all and I would advise speaking to your doctor as they can offer something or point you in the direction of an organisation. - bty81216349

4)   well done for giving up! i have smoked but never been addicted, but im pretty sure u shudnt be feeling ill for 3 weeks, nicotine dosent stay in ur sytym that long,if u had any withdrawal symptons u would of had them in the first week, maybe u just have a bug or something, its easy to think its because of not smoking, but for most people its the habit thats hardest to break not the pyshical side effects, with any thing thats addictive the side effects only last up to a week, quiting can only be a good thing.u should be very proud of urself dont give up,when u feel well again ul feel better than ever. - peaches

5)   It`s your body in recovery i stopped three years ago the first year i also felt ill alot leg cramps, cold like symptoms etc but slowly with exercise i now feel great, occasionally i have rare coughing fits and can actually taste tobacco, but its the muck coming off my lungs.Apparently it takes ten yrs to fully recover as a none smoker. My only regret is not stopping earlier with 30 yrs of smoking and the waste that came with it good luck - Wacko Jacko

6)   Because you cut all the nutritous carbon monoxide/dioxide out. =[[[
That's why I haven't stopped smoking, it's too unhealthy to stop. - [Pandalism]

Question 2
Are you supposed to get quarantined if you have swine flu?...  I was diagnosed with swine flu last night. I told a friend and she said I was supposed to be quarantined. Is this true? I am worried because I have a young child at home.

Answers
1)   everything you need to know

http://www.cdc.gov/H1N1flu/qa.htm - Conner's Mama

2)   Well yes, its an air borne disease, stay away from your child! At the place I work, a guy tested positive, the whole tech park was shutdown to sanitize the place!

Get well soon. - Clutch

3)   usually they just lock u up in your basement and make you and who'm ever are coming to help, wear a mask..
they give you food and a drink as normal but im not sure what they do if you have children..
now im not quite sure if i just said yes to your question because im pretty sure i got it too..

hope you feel better <3 - Pink Bublegum

4)   The CDC is suggesting that you stay inside and not go into public until you are 24 hours without fever or 7 days after symptoms first appear...if you have to go out into public you should wear a mask..If you have a young child at home I would see if there is someone that could watch him/her for you for about a week..if not just wash your hands and wear a mask when you are around him/her...but remember the swine flu is not a super flu..the flu is the flu..you should recover fine..my family and I did..also the flu is spread through droplets..so look up droplet precautions to see how to prevent the spread. - Rabby

Question 4
Would it be ethical for me to have children if they are going to inherit my eyesight?...  I am a man who is both colour blind and short sighted. These may seem like minor things to many people (I rarely notice the colour blindness and can see perfectly with glasses.)
However these problems have pretty much ruined my life as they have stopped me from having the career I always wanted (I always wanted to be a pilot like my own father).
My question is, do you think it would be ethical for me to have children as they are likely to inherit these conditions. I want to have kids one day but don't think I could live with myself if they had to go through the misery I have suffered.

Answers
1)   well unless you become blind, no. - [Pandalism]

2)   It is entirely possible that these children will not have sight problems, or want a career where perfect vision is necessary.

You could always adopt and foster - there are many kids out there desperate for a good home - ty_rosewood

3)   I think that the only reason for having children is if you love the woman you are with and she wants children.

It is a necessary and sufficient condition. Love is necessary and sufficient. It does not matter if they inherit some medical condition (though there may be extremes like Huntington's Disease). Certainly being short sighted is not a problem; like you I am short sighted (my father is too) but unlike you it has not detracted from my life in the slightest.

You need to forget about not being a pilot. My brother is a pilot and, while he genuinely loves his job, he recognises that it is a bit like being a bus driver except that you don't have to collect any fares. - ipnez

4)   Children normally inherit the dominant gene, and in most cases if your wife does not have the same problems, they should be fine.

I am short sighted as well, and I live a full life. I'm a qualified scuba diver, and a paramedic. Life is what you make of it. - Marius

Question 5
I'm in the Army, where can my wife and son get the H1N1 vaccination?...  I'm located at Ft Rucker and my wife (pregnant) and 2 year old son need to get vaccinated. I couldn't find anything on the Lyster Clinic website regarding the vaccine, so I'm asking here.

Answers
1)   Matt - Phone the base hospital and ask information:
Lyster U S Army Comm Hosp
Andrews Ave Bldg 301
Fort Rucker, AL 36362

Phone: (334) 255-7360

You've made a wise decision. - norton g

2)   I wouldn't get it. It contains x25 what is considered to be a safe amount of mercury. And flu vaccines have been pr oven to be ineffective. The risk far outweigh the benefits. The normal flu shot only protects you from one strain. And they guess which strain will be the worst. If there wrong. And that strain doesn't even literally reach the USA. They still sell it to everyone. They don't care. And taking into consideration the H1N1 flu was rushed and they have no legal responsibility if anything happens to anyone. I would advise against taking it. That and since its only a 1/10 chance that H1N1 could have been created naturally in the wild. The reason for this is because the Swine flu is actually a strain of flu that is combined with many other strains. For even 1 strain to cross over with another is unlikely, multiple is close to not possible. If you don't believe me. Look it up. These facts are easily viewable online. To top it off I read an article a month before the flu came known to the public that a flu would be real eased onto the public on the time frame of end of April and beginning of May. And at the end of April what ya know? One just happened to come out. Unless the person that wrote this article was psychic, I find this very suspicious.

P.S. It hasn't been tested well either. So your wife and her child will be guinea pigs. - War Economy

3)   good luck man,
your making a good choice. : ) - Amber
