What's wrong with my friend's leg?

Question 1
What's wrong with my friend's leg?...  Maybe a month ago, my friend cut her leg shaving. It was really bad, but after some time it seemed to get better. Now, however, it's starting to swell again. She says it's starting to feel hard and it itches. She knows she has to go to the doctor but is scared. Any idea what could be wrong with her leg?

1)   Perhaps a hair got trapped under the skin as it was healing or bacteria has infected it. If it's a small area that's swollen (a bump) she could wash her hands, sterilize it and pop it to see what's inside. If there's a hair inside, she could use a sterilized needle to make it available for sterilized tweezers to pull it out completely, then wash it with isopropyl alcohol or peroxide and bandage it. Of course, she could wait for her doctor appointment too, for the safer route! - Lovey

2)   She has an internal infection in her leg.
She must go and see a doctor now, she will get someone who knows whats wrong, and not people who guess.
She will receive , in my opinion antibiotics to fight the infection.

3)   i done same thing more than likely it is probably infected??so,Yes,she must be seen by her dr. and tell her not to be scared.it can turn into gain green if not treated.she needs it properly cleaned & could need stitches.get her to get in asap!mine did turn into the smelly pus of gain green.i was to young to be shaving & didnt want to tell my mom.school nurse sent me home from school.went to my family Dr.next day.got it taken care of.get to dr. - Rachel:)

Contact Dermatitis

Help with this cold sore !?...  well i had this cold sore for like a week and i put ice on it and now it's all white . What do I do !?

Question 4
What kinds of abnormalities can grow on the heart?...  One of my friends just informed me that a during a routine physical, they found something on his heart through x-rays but they won't know what it is until they can examine him more closely with a scope. They had him on a heart monitor and said he is in excellent health, we just don't know what this finding is yet. He has convinced himself that it's cancer & is very depressed. I have never heard of this & cant find anything online about it. What other possibilities are there?

2)   true cancer of the heart is *very* rare.

Cold soars. If you get one and it goes away are they going to keep reappearing at least once a year?...  Can't you just get one and it will go away and never come back? I just got one and I'm freaked out because people are telling me im going to have them all of the time

1)   Sometimes they can appear more than once a year, stress can also cause them.

I read that it is a bug that grows old with you, the older you get the less often you get them. I used to put a little achohol on them to dry them up, if you have perfume handy that works too - Hi It's me

2)   Cold sores are caused by a strain of the herpes virus, so chances are you will keep getting them. As for the frequency of recurrences; everyone is different. There is no cure for any strain of herpes so the only thing that can be done is apply a cream that is sold over the counter or get a doctor's prescription if they are painful.

There is also a chance you might never get one again, like I said it just depends. I had a herpes sore under my armpit once (contact w/ infected person at job) about three years ago and I haven't seen another sore again. - Jessica
