Question 1
gonna make this a quick question as i dont have much time my terminally ill father been giving 72 hours?...  my dad is in the final stages of terminal prostate cancer, he has been giving 72 hours and i am so upset im only 16 neva thought i would lose him but now i no i have to be strong im also 36 wks pregnant can anyone give me some advice on how to cope

Answers
1)   Colon cleaning is the modern way to reduce weight. Researchers have illustrated the fact that not all unwanted weight is due to excess fat, a great deal of weight just lies there in the insides, and all you have to do is flush it out. http://davent.yourminddiet.info has a risk free trial on at the moment, give it a try, you could reduce as much as twenty pounds! - Martha

2)   Unfortunately grief has 5 stages we all need to go through, there are no shortcuts, read the info at my link, I think you will find it helpful - Vicky

3)   Aw hun, i'm so sorry to hear that. There are no set ways of coping, each person deals with things in different ways. Just make sure you spend as much time with your dad as you can, tell him everything you want to tell him just treasure the moments you have left with him. No doubt it is going to be very difficult for you but i'm sure you have lots of friends who are there for you and willing to do anything they can to help you cope.

I always find talking things through with my close friends helps me cope...like they say a problem shared is a problem halved. Maybe you'd prefer to write down how you're feeling in a diary instead. Either way, try not to bottle it all up because it's not healthy and the stress wouldn't be good for your baby.

Be strong hun - Sophs

4)   Your 36 weeks pregnant at 16? And your father is about to pass in a particularly unpleasant end.

My deepest sympathies to you, but you are going to have to grow up in so many ways.

I'm sure he would want you to be calm, and be Living for the baby. - Vulture38

5)   I am so sorry, there isn't much advice anyone can give you sweetheart, but try the macmillan Cancer nurses site for support.
My prayers are with you and your family hon xx - happywoman

6)   I was 16 years old when my dad died too, so I know exactly how you feel. My dad had cancer all over his body. He died 6th November 1981. I started my first job on the Monday, he died Friday of that week. All I can say is, tell him how you feel about him now, while he is here. You'll regret it if you don't do that. Once he has gone, allow yourself to grieve, don't be afraid to cry, scream, shout, or do whatever you feel. Let your emotions out. Once your baby is born, tell him/her about your dad, show him/her pictures, tell them stories about what your dad did, said and meant to you. Although my dad died almost 30 years ago, I still think about him now. It never stops hurting, but it does get easier.

Hope this helps.
' - girlborofan

7)   don't bottle up all the pain, being strong is not all its cracked up to be, talk to your friends and family, spend as much time as you can with your father and talk to him tell him everything even if you think he cant hear you or understand you. take each day as it comes, its going to be hard so you'll need your loved ones around you, remember good times. xx - TANYA C

Question 3
Can you get Sulphur Dioxide Poisoning?...  Can you get sulphur dioxide poisoning and where does it occur.

I think the syptoms include fainting and heart problems but surely you would smell it and realise that something was off?

Thanks for the help.
Fess up, who's giving all the thumbs down ?
There really is no need- all these answers are great. Just what I wanted.

Answers
1)   Inhaling sulfur dioxide is associated with increased respiratory symptoms and disease, difficulty in breathing, and premature death. - ☆Elder Star☆

2)   Sulphur dioxide is a colourless gas with a pungent smell and comes from the burning of coal and oil. In the air, it can be converted to sulphuric acid, sulphur trioxide, and sulphates.

Exposure to very high levels of sulphur dioxide can be life threatening. Exposure to 100 parts of sulphur dioxide per million parts of air (100 ppm) is considered immediately dangerous to life and health. Burning of the nose and throat, breathing difficulties, and severe airway obstructions occurred in miners who breathed sulphur dioxide released as a result of an explosion in a copper mine.

Long-term exposure to persistent levels of sulphur dioxide can affect your health. Lung function changes were seen in some workers exposed to low levels of sulphur dioxide for 20 years or more. Asthmatics have also been shown to be sensitive to the respiratory effects of low concentrations of sulphur dioxide.

Animal studies also show respiratory effects from breathing sulphur dioxide. Animals exposed to high concentrations of sulphur dioxide showed decreased respiration, inflammation of the airways, and destruction of areas of the lung. - Fork UK

3)   But if you were working in an enclosed space, like a steel tank, you may not be able to get out fast enough - Acka

4)   To my knowledge Sulphur Dioxide is not poisonous but it may be toxic and cause breathing problems. You would know it by smell as it is very irritating - like needles in your nose. It is not like Carbon Monoxide. - Dafydd

5)   Sulfur dioxide (Smog)
Symptoms: Respiratory tract irritation, sneezing, cough, dyspnea, pulmonary edema
Treatment: Removal from contaminated area, O2, positive pressure breathing, respiratory support. - gangadharan nair

Question 5
NYC don't clean their public water supply?...  I open the cold water in my bathroom sink today and the water is the same color as urine. The hot water is pretty much clear. Is it toxic? I didn't even look at the water color and start to brush my teeth, and then I realized it's in urine color...I have family members who use it to wash face and brush teeth and didn't even notice it. It's located in the center of manhattan.
It's a new water line that was built in 2005. This is an apartment complex
It just happen today. Never happen before

Answers
1)   NYC is known for having the cleanest tap water in the US. maybe you have something wrong with your pipes. - wendy_da_goodlil_witch

2)   There may have been a water main break somewhere. New York water is rated one of the best in the country so there must be something wrong with the plumbing especially if it is only the cold water line. I live right across from one of the reservoirs that feed New York city and believe me the DEP really looks after and takes care of the water. - Arlene

3)   Rusty pipes may cause discoloration of the water let the water run until it is clear. If the problem persists contact a plumber or your building superintendent. - Doc

4)   NYC water is the best, I used to live there, and was able to drink the water all the time, I now live in Florida, and the water is horrible, we only drink bottled water. I have actually installed a water softener, and a purifier, and it still is not the best.

There must be a problem in your building, or a water main break in the area. It will most likely be back to normal later today or tomorrow. - Teresa K
