What is the best cure for acne?

Question 1
What is the best cure for acne?...  I've had mild-severe acne since I was 11 or 12 (I'm 18 now) and I've tried literally every remedy and nothing works. I've used tetracycline, Retin-A Micro (I still use that), and 3 different kinds of birth controls, a generic brand, FemconFe, and I'm currently taking Yaz. I've also used Pro-Activ, all kinds of Neutrogena face washes, currently using Bare Essentials facewash.

I have pretty obvious acne scars and I still break out. What are some of my options?

Answers
1)   proactive - Ivana A

2)   Ugh, don't use any of that medicine. It doesn't really work that well...

For the last year I've been having some acne as well. I've been given all sorts of creams and such, but recently my mom found out about apple cider vinegar. It has worked better than anything else I have tried.

Basically, I use Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar, mix it with like a cup of water added with honey and drink that everyday.

Also, before I go to sleep I apply some of the vinegar directly on the pimples/acne. It really works. The only thing is that it kinda smells but it's only on your face at night so...

My face cleared up really fast. The pimples basically go away and you don't even have to pop them or anything.

Good luck! (btw this is all natural so it's not harmful to your skin) :] - Jeff

just make sure you wash your face twice a day. ALWAYS. it makes a huge difference. use a scrub or a mask once a week. what kind of skin do you have? if its sensitive use products with a sensitive skin formula. talk to a dermatologist. drink a lot of water. excercise. eat healthy. all of these will help. also keep trying different products. ive found clean n clear really help. good luck - asdfsadfasdf

28)   If you REALLY want to nip that stuff in the bud, I recommend Accutane. It's not for the weak-hearted. It's a prescription you have to get from your Dermatologist. You will be put on birth control, and you have to have your blood tested every month. It makes your skin, nose, and lips dry to the bone, and you usually have to stay on it for several months depending on the severity, but 70% of the time, it permanently cures acne...forever. I had terrible acne, and I've been acne free for 5 years (I'm 21). This was the only thing that worked for me, I had tried everything else and nothing helped more than regular damn bar soap. - rdp870

29)   Sometimes it's usually that one food you keep eating whether it's chocolate or junk food. For me it was cheese. Once I gave up pizza, my acne cleared up and I even lost some weight, so there was a bonus there.

Constantly wash your face. Don't waste money on products that doesn't work. Just wash your face every day with regular soap, and make a habit of it. Also keep your hands away from your face. Just touching it all the time.

Most importantly, be patient and don't pop those pimples. They just make it worse and leave all that mark on your face. - Lankan Sweetheart
