Question 1
am i still contagious with the swine flu if all symptoms except a cough have disappeared?...

1)   24 hours after you have had no fever, you are no longer contagious. - Bird

2)   I have it too, my doctor says that 24 hours after you don't have ANY fever or chills, your fine to go back to work/school/life - Zara S

3)   umm...are you sure you have the H1N1 virus? if you are, then you probably went to a doctor and had them tell you that...if they did, then you should ask them whether you are still contagious.

but generally speaking, if you're feeling better and just have a cough, you're not contagious anymore. just don't cough *on* anyone, that's mean. - applenorgs

4)   its best to keep your distance from others for a while. ever when ur fevor is gone - eleonora

5)   Did you get tested positive for the Swine Flu? (The instructions on how to do so are listed below).

I got Swine Flu, and these are close to the symptoms. The symptons are cough, sore throat, head ache, stomic aches, fever, and bodie aches.

You should go to a local hospital or big doctors office if you have the symptoms listed above, and ask them to test you for swine flu. They will most likely say yes.

The test is where they stick a cotton swab up your nose very deep. It is very uncomfortable and painful. Next they stick the swab in a liquid solution for ten minutes. There will be a change in the color of the swab if it swine flu.

They should do the test little to no charge.

Again, the symptons are cough, sore throat, head ache, stomic aches, fever, and bodie aches.

You are contagious for a full 8 days. - jrbraves26

6)   CDC guidelines recommend that people with flu like illness remain at home for 24 hours after your fever stays normal WITHOUT the aid of fever reducing medicines. If you don't have a fever and haven't had one for 24 hours or more without the use of fever reducing meds then you should be ok to go about your normal routine. Listen to your body, keep your mouth covered with a tissue when you cough or cough into the crook of your arm, not your hand(this just spreads germs quicker because you cough then touch something) and take it a bit easy until you know you are 100% better. - taichichik

7)   Your fine and good after 24 hrs of being fever free. Try a cough suppressant and get some rest. - namairb2

4)   H1N1 symptoms are generally the same as seasonal flu, cough, fever, chills, body aches, tired, headache, sore throat. Generally if you have a fever and present with one or more of these symptoms then you would most likely be considered as having H1N1. The CDC recommends that you call your health care provider before actually going in to be seen unless you have an underlying medical condition that could be worsened by the H1N1 virus, this is to help prevent the spread of the virus. - taichichik

What is this weird rash thing on my inner thigh?...  A few days ago i had an itchy bump on my inner thigh and while i scratched it a bunch of little red dots sprouted. my skin is still smooth where they are. I've had them before, and usually I just wait for them to go away, but since they keep coming back, I'm a little worried

3)   well its probably because you are either wearing pants that irritate your skin or your legs are rubbing together. Wear the comfiest pants you have but just wear them on the weekend or if your at home. (you don't wanna look dorky) lol You could also just put some baby powder on it. That should help. :) - Peace out!

Question 4
Really high fever?!!?...  what could be the cause of a 104.4 degree fever? ive had this for 2 days now with a soar throat...my body is really hot but i feel so cold and shivery any ideas?

I hope you feel better!!! - jrbraves26

2)   Go to a hospital and get checked for H1N1! Dont waste time. - Proud Mommy of TWO!

3)   GUESS WHAT! "swine flu," aka the H1N1 virus (which is what we should all be calling it now anyway, because we're not morons), is a flu just like any other. it seems worse because people who live in countries with poor medical care died. just like they die of the flu every damn year. the vaccine for this particular strain of influenza seems to be developing much more slowly than other flu viruses, but either way, it's just the damn flu and if you can get proper medical care you WILL survive. OP, that was to the other answerers, not necessarily just you.

the cause of a fever that high could be any type of flu, or potentially even an STD or any other kind of infection that your body is trying to fight off. drink water until you feel like you can't drink any more, and then drink a couple more gallons. go to the doctor, but if you mention
that you think you have "the swine flu" they will probably be annoyed because they most likely will be planning on testing you for it anyway. - applenorgs
