What is this rash on my chest?

Question 1
What is this rash on my chest?...  Ever since I was pregnant with my first son, I've been getting these itchy splotchy rashes. It's usually on my chest and spreads to my belly and my fingers and now it's even on the inside of my arms and on my scalp. My husband says I might be allergic to my own breast milk. Is this possible? What is this rash?

3)   No, I do not think its at all possible to be allergic to your own breastmilk. It could be from some hormonal/physical changes that happened while you were pregnant. Like my mom was never allergic to anything before she got pregnant but starting with her first kid she started developing realy bad reactions to citrus fruits/oranges? IDK why that happens but I've known a few other women who got similar problems.

Anyway, go to the doctor and get it looked at, you might want to get some allergy tests done too. I dont' know what exactly is causing it or if its an allergy or something else. The docs can probably figure it out though. Go when you have the rash, so they can get a good look at it. - LORI

4)   Never heard of being allergic to your own milk. Your body produces this and it should be compatible with your own body chemistry. You could have some type of allergy.I'd call your ob/gyn and explain this or to call a pharmacist if you don't want to have to go to the doctor's office if they may want to see you for that. Since this itches it's likely a rash of some sort in reaction to something. Have you changed laundry detergent or gotten any new clothing with some material like wool or such? It is common for those items to be factors to cause a reaction. I'd check those and if not then I'd see if you ate something that you normally don't. Then you have to wait if it's food related and avoid the substance to get that out of your system. Try a natural colloidal oatmeal type of soak in the tub for this. It can be soothing and won't be something you'd have to be careful to use while nursing. Aaveno makes this. Can get it at most stores. I've seen that brand at a walgreens, kmart, target, etc.

If the itching bothers you try to put on calamine lotion or aloe vera, those are general safe to use too. I'd keep a watch on this and if it worsens any talk to your doctor about it and they can maybe prescribe something that is safe to use during nursing if you try those items and this continues. - tj

Question 2
help!!!i have dry skin?...  i have very dry skin on my legs and arms what can I eat or drink (other than water) to make it go away fast

Answers
1)   you can use lotion to make it go away. - Ben G

2)   Dry skin is one of the most common skin problems. In order to stay soft and supple your skin needs to retain its natural moisture. But when exposed to direct sunlight in summer or harsh weather (cold and wind) in winter, when the central heating dries out the skin, it quickly loses its natural moisture and oils, becomes dry and chapped. - Assi

3)   Living in a very dry climate I sometimes have that problem. And, lotion is NOT the solution, as it's dry all over my body. But, I've found a perfect cure that works great. An Oatmeal bath. You can get packets of Oatmeal bath stuff at any store. It's a little slimy, but soak in an oatmeal bath, and the dry skin goes away immediately. - scott b

Question 3
Is this a tapeworm, or am i just paranoid?...  Okay, well my friend just says I'm paranoid ever since my bio teacher talked to us about tape worms. But ive had this weird feeling around my abdomen, and an itchiness. But the thing is i woke up at about 8 o clock, and i havent been hungry all day (its noon now). But yesterday for the past 2 days, i would eat, and my stomach would still be growling...

Answers
1)   I think you're just paranoid. Tapeworms are really hard to get unless you've been eating raw meat or feces or something. Not only that but you'd be losing weight really fast and be hungry to the point of where you felt like you were starving all the time. - devon d

2)   contrary to the first answer, you can pick up the worms by:
a) not washing hands properly
b) not cooking meats properly
they can live for years, 5 years or more. they are also very easy to get rid of, you need to go to the docs to get the medicine. - greengunge

3)   You're just paranoid. I am the same way. Sometimes you can be so worried about something that you start believing that you have every single symptom. I do it all the time. You get tapeworms from eating raw meat, but they are usually found in underdeveloped countries and are not as common in the U.S. You are perfectly fine. - Giggles-for-life

Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:

Search up "Cee En's Acne Solution" on ebay.

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.
