Can someone be allergic to Ranch Dressing?

Question 1
Can someone be allergic to Ranch Dressing?...  This might sounds really really weird but I think I'm allergic to Ranch Dressing. What makes me think that is I had some on my salad and I felt weird after I ate it. I felt like my throat was closing up on me, like a choking sensation. I got better after taking some Benadryl and drinking some water but...I don't really get it: I've had Ranch more than once in my life and now I think I'm allergic to it. I had it one more time after that I had stomach aches and diarrhea.... Some one explain please?
*No mean comments please

Oh, I have other allergies too like to pine sap and certain trees and once in a while, cat hair irritates my eyes.

Answers
1)   You might be allergic to one of the ingredients in the dressing such as buttermilk or sour cream, mayonnaise, minced green onion, garlic powder, or other seasonings mixed into a sauce. - J. Lee

2)   you can be allergic to almost anything, especially if you have multiple allergies. But if you've had ranch on multiple occasions, it is probably not the culprit and it could be something in the salad as well. It could also be the brand of ranch, they may use something the other ranch dressing you used did not have - suhail510

3)   it is possible that ur allergic to it. and maybe the allergy grew over time or something. its hard to explain but i used to be able to eat pineapple anything but then one day i have pineapple dole whip at disneyland and then i could barely breathe cuz my throat hurt so bad. so ya. u can grow to an allergin or whatever - digdug427

4)   who prepared the food with the Ranch dressing? Was the lettuce bagged lettuce or from a head of lettuce, and if from a head of lettuce who all has handled the lettuce? you could be allergic to something in the dressing, anyone is able to develop allergies at any time in their lives. So yes it is a possibility. - kat

5)   Sure sounds like an allergy to it. It could be the food dye (color) in it. My kids were allergic to pine sap and I had to buy an artificial tree. Scot's Pine didn't seem to bother them, but they are expensive and heavy--difficult to get a good one. They were allergic to cats, but would have a different type reaction with different cats. Same with dogs. They tested negative to dogs in the skin test, and weren't allergic to our cockapoo. 4 years later, we got a yellow lab and they would blotch out when she licked them. Different animals have different chemistry. With the salad dressing, it may be just ONE ingredient in one type of Ranch dressing. There are certain food dyes (colors) which are more allergenic than others. - Spicey

Question 3
Any suggestions to help improve moms health?...  My mom's health is deteriorating, and I don't know what to do. A few years ago, my mother lost 75% of her blood and had a blood transfusion. So I am assuming some of the problems originated after that incident. She's taking numerous prescriptions.. I tell her its not good for her but she says she needs them to function. Sometimes, I get frustrated at her doctor for not being able to improve her health. All he does is prescribe her meds for her problems when I want a cure or at least something that would gradually help her health beomce stable where she doesnt need to rely on meds. I ask him about the meds and her conditions but he says he prescribes them because my mother isnt capable of understanding and she's like many others that believe meds the only way. He says he has to give in to their wants. I know she cant comprehend the effects of meds and I try to explain to her that meds isnt the way to go. she yells and tells me I know nothing and that meds the only thing that can save her. I am aware that I dont know much and I dont know what to do. I see her suffering and I dont know how to approach everything .. My mom doesnt trust hospitals she refuses to go to them unless she has no choice.. I dont know the medical names for the meds shes taking but I know shes taking meds for ulcers, swelling, blood pressure, cholesterol, arthritis, joint pain, antibiotics here and there and a few more She gets swollen badly to where she isnt able to clench her fist etc and isnt able to eat certain food She has trouble going to the bathroom at times I feel hopeless im young and stupid and I am afraid for my mother I dont know what I can do to help My mother doesnt want to change her ways How would I tackle this problem Any suggestions/help Thanks in advance

1)   Consuming the correct food is crucial for your wellbeing. You can try supplementing your diet with acai berry, it is not only a widely tested and acknowledged weight loss product, it is a superfood too. There is a risk free trial on offer at http://forath.beststardiet.info I have been using it for 3 weeks now and it is definitely working!! - Corey

2)   You must add at least ONE heathy thing to her diet. Make a green drink everyday, buy a powder of greens at the health food store. Or make a fresh carrot juice. Or some flax oil. Start with ONE small thing every day. Decide what that is , and do it. it WILL make a difference! - seoreh

3)   First off stop saying you are stupid, learn the basics of what is going on with your mom and the meds she is on - there is drugs.com - look them up there. Knowledge is Power and you can learn... I would highly recommend your mom get evaluated for mental health issues as well.. She may need to rely on meds, you may not be able to change that.. so don't go there unless you know for a fact she doesn't really need them. - searchforthetruth007

4)   Research your area for an alternative medicine doctor. Also chiropractors know about medicines and can help with nutrition and alleviating pain naturally. You could call and tell the office manager or nurse about your mother's problems and ask if they think they could help her. If they say no, then ask who they could recommend. Be sure and tell them what medicines she is taking. My own doctor says that all those medicines are poison. No doubt she is taking too much and is probably causing more problems. If you can manage to get her to a different doctor, half of the battle will be won. - oldknowitall

Feels like a pimple. but could it be genital warts or herpes? And is it common for women to have pimples in this area of their bodies? This is sooo embarrassing!

1)   Herpes can be transferred by skin-to-skin contact if there are cuts, rashes or sores. Herpes symptoms which are transferred from skin-to-skin contact are often characterized by red, painful bumps or blisters which are found on the infected site. In women, herpes symptoms are the lesions in the uterine cervix. In men, they are found in the urinary tract.

Herpes cause other infections to the body. The herpes virus endangers the person’s life. Preventive measures like protected sex only reduces the transmission but it does not totally heal the disease.

The best decision from the infected person is to undergo regular STD testing. Do not delay the diagnosis and testing for it may cause serious and harmful complications. Have it now, not tomorrow or later. Every minute the virus can easily multiply and can destroy the body’s immune system. Stop this early if you want to live longer, healthier and happier. Do not wait for the visible symptoms.

Preventing the spread of STDs saves the lives of many. Everybody should take a move especially those who are STD infected. It is a human act to help stop victimizing millions of people allover the globe. We should always keep in mind our health as well as the health of others. Stop the spread of STDs. Get tested for STD the earliest possible time.

STD testing is necessary in order to detect STDs early. Infected persons can manage the disease with STD testing. Moreover, this is the key for a better sexual health. STD testing is then the surest way to know whether a person has STD or not. Through STD testing, you can protect your health as well as the health of the ones you loved most. - STD Jason

2)   you just need to get a std test even with only 2 men you could have gotten something you can pick up a STD the first time you have sex

just get checked out - burring off fatt 1234

3)   Yes it is comon to get bumps "down there". The bump you have is probably a clogged pore or an ingrown hair. You have pores in the skin of your labia just like on your face, they can get clogged with dirt and sweat and turn into a pimple, or because you have hair, or shave it, you can get ingrown hairs. I wouldnt worry about it if it isnt an open sore, or if there is only one. If you start to see more bumps popping up , or if it is an open sore or a blister you should make an appointment to see your GYN. Keep in mind, using condoms does not protect against genital warts or herpes so always be carefull when choosing a sexual partner, and dont be afraid to do a pre-sex inspection! - ~Mrs.BruceBanner~

Question 5
Can I get syphilis from this?...  Can I get syphilis from this?
Okay, so I was asked to help with setting up before church 4 weeks ago so I did. After it was over, I was meeting some new people since it was my 1st time doing it. I was meeting people and had to shake some hands. For some reason reason there was guy I'm was really worried about. The problem is that I have a cut on my hand caused by my cat. I probably have gotten it before 2:00 pm. This hand shake took place a little bit after 7:20. I don't think I saw him have a cut on his hand, but what if he did have a bleeding cut and the blood got into my cut. Would I get aids or syphilis if the cut closed off(stopped bleeding), and his blood got on the cut? Sadly I forgot to check if my hand had blood on it after I shooke his hand, before I washed it with soap...

Would I know it very easilly if I got syphilis?
