what gets RID of lice??? help!!!?

Question 1
what gets RID of lice??? help!!!?...  its the 2nd time my girls (so i cant shave their heads!! darn it!) have got lice and i'm at my wits end... any tips besides the usual?? that store bought crap does nothing :(

Answers
1)   I suggest you to see ----> http://www.all-home-remedies.com
I found this link a few days before on answers.yahoo.com, it contains very useful of
information about many health issues. hope that will help you as well. Thanks - Dr Jessica

2)   ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww - Star

3)   See your physician and get some prescription shampoo. It should do the trick. - xElahw

4)   just shave their hair its not like their hair wont grow back - Bubble Girl(LOVE)

5)   I heard that a good home remedy is to wash their hair with mayonnaise.I hope this helps, good luck! - Hannah

6)   Mix equal parts vinegar and water, and then put it in their hair. It kills the unborn eggs. Life brand shampoo seems to work and use a thin comb to comb them out. - zaboomafoo

7)   You gotta get every single nit out of their hair, and you need to bomb (lice bomb) the house and wash all their bedding and affected clothing in hot water. - gwennthered

8)   That store crap doesnt work because the lice are immune to it. you have to suffocate those bugs. you need to cover everyones head completely in vaseline and put shower caps on and leave it over night. That will suffocate everything. make sure you wash bedding etc.. and dry on hot for an hour. if you re infect its a pain in the ass becuase your hair is going to be greasy for a few days. I had lice in high school for a year. i did numerous RID treatments and eve prespcritopn lice shampooi. Finally heard about the vaseline and tried it - it was the ONLY thing to work. wish i had knew the cure from the very beginning. - lovesgirls

9)   I had lice for the LONGEST time and a few things helped me get rid of it:
-use a cat comb with the treatment
-vacuum/ wash pillow cases a lot
-blowdry hair a lot (it does dry your hair out but it also kills the lice!) - insertname

10)   You could try dyeing their hair, the chemicals will kill them all off. Then you'll have to wash every bit of bedding in the house, and probably shampoo any furniture that they came in contact with. - Football season should be banned

11)   walmart sells over the counter lice remover, it smells and ive never had a problem with it, if you have try using two boxes on each of them and leave it in a little longer, also make sure you comb their hair good with the egg removing comb for a couple hours i would suggest, a home remedy i tried once was to smother my head in mayo, IT DIDNT WORK! so i dont suggest it, all you get is 20 times of washing your hair and still itchy! lol, but ask someone at walmart they will know where it is! - EngagedWoman

12)   Put some gas masks on the kids, lock them in the bathroom and throw a tic and flea bomb in there. This should do the trick. Seriously though/ A product called A200 works really well. It's mainly for crabs, but works really well for head lice. - ouch

3)   they're all the same thing. - wowiekatherine

4)   Zits and pimples are the same exact thing. Inside the pore are sebaceous glands which produce sebum. When the outer layers of skin shed (as they do continuously), the dead skin cells left behind may become 'glued' together by the sebum. This causes the blockage in the pore, especially when the skin becomes thicker at puberty The sebaceous glands produce more sebum which builds up behind the blockage, and this sebum harbours various bacteria including the species Propionibacterium acnes. - xElahw

5)   basically acne is a WHOLE bunch of zits/pimples. but pimples, zits and whiteheads are all the same. - klawsomeosity

6)   Nothing really. Zits is almost a slang term for pimples. Acne is just a large breakout of pimples mainly on the face , usually teenagers get them because their bodies are maturing and changing. plus not to mention teenagers dont carry out the healthiest balanced lifestyle. All three are the same thing labelled differently caused by oils on the skin, these oils irritate the area and breakout in what we call pimples. - Bubblyboo100

7)   Zits and pimples are the same thing. Acne is just a name for groups of pimples (I think...) - insertname

So I ran downstairs and called my parents immediately and they brought her to the hospital and they found a stomach ulcer, a hole in the stomach caused by acidic erosion in the lining of the stomach.

so don't joke around with that kind of stuff, it could be more serious than she says it is - Michael

Question 5
Why does my child get huge welts from mosquito bites, about the size of an apple?...  Most bites from mosquito's normally size of a fingernail.

Answers
1)   allergic to them.

May be also allergic to bee stings.

i would talk to the doctor about carrying an epi pen. - Kelle

2)   the swelling from all bug gites or stings are caused by something similar to an allergic reaction because of the chemicals present in the insects saliva/venom. the larger the welt, the worse the person's "allergy".

sounds to me like your child is very allergic to the mosquito bites - Ethan

3)   Allergy to the mosquito's saliva, which has a blood thinner in it to help it suck the blood out (gross, I know)--I'm allergic too, I take an antihistimine like zyrtec or claritin, and then rub on hydrocortisone cream to reduce swelling. Like the other poster mentioned, you might want to consult a doctor about the severity of the allergy, because you might need something stronger for the histimine reaction. - Elise
