What is causing these sudden red patches on my face?

Question 1
What is causing these sudden red patches on my face?...  Since I was little, I've always suffered with dry skin and eczema, especially around my ears. Because of the long cold winter we've had since what feels like forever, my face has suffered terribly from dry skin, especially around my eye lids, chin, nose, under my eyes and well pretty much everywhere except my cheeks. The dry skin formed in stubborn patches which never disappeared no matter what cream I used. I've put up with it, but now it's gone even worse and my face has developed red patches because it's so dry. I started using vaseline and sudocrem on these red patches but it's just spread and looks worse. It's odd because the red patches aren't dry anymore and my face feels smoother but the patches are still there. Does anyone know what this could be? My face also feels hot and I've naturally always had rosy cheeks no matter what, if this matters? I can't stop moisturising my face everyday because it will literally look and feel like a desert!

Go to your doctor as soon as possible to stop scratching and in the meantime, try wearing sandals are nothing around the house to allow air to get at your feet.
