Can you get infection from masturbating during your period?...  If I don't pee after I masturbate during my period, will I get an infection? Like a UTI? I usually fall asleep after.

3)   Should not be a problem. You are referring to the advice to pee after sex to avoid catching anything. But that is different - there is a potential cause for infection from your partner. This is not the case when you are masturbating.

The left side of the back of my throat is swollen with white bumps on it. And it hurts to swallow pretty bad.?...  Any idea's as to what it might be?
Any idea's as to waht it might me? I'm a smoker.

3)   Could be strep. Sucks ass anyway; I have it right now.

There are also lots of viruses going around (strep can be caused by viruses too) that cause similar symptoms too. I've heard tonsillitis has white bumps too.

Basically it can be a lot of rather non-serious (for long term health anyway; doctors don't seem to care if you can't swallow without pain so long as you aren't going to be back in a week) things which will go away without antibiotics, but it doesn't hurt to take antibiotics as long as you take them properly! Antibiotics will reduce the contagious period for bacterial strep by a significant amount as well. The test for strep can be done in about 10 minutes, but if you're a strep carrier, you'll need to use a longer test. Being a carrier of strep bacteria doesn't increase your odds of getting strep throat, from what I've read. - ki6

please help me,worried about my cold sore.is it common to get gen. herpes from hand to mouth then to privates?...  i didnt realize i was getting a cold sore and touched my lips throughout the night last night. not like constantly, but here and there. my lips hurt last night, and this morning i noticed the tell-tale little blisters, so its just at the beginning stage.
my problem is this, last night my boyfriend and i had sex, and my hands contacted my lady areas. im not sure how long between touching my mouth to then touching my vagina, but it wasnt immediate, maybe like 10 mins in between [it could have been longer or shorter, im making my best guess]. now im really freaking out. im so scared that i might get genital herpes!

how likely is this to happen?
how common is it to contract genital herpes by hand to mouth to privates?
someone please tell me im just a worry wart. i havnt had a cold sore in years, so im hoping im just over-reacting.
