I've had a fever for 6 days now, what do I do?!?

Question 1
I've had a fever for 6 days now, what do I do?!?...  I saw my GP this morning who just said keep taking paracetomol and ibuprofen but i have done this since for 6 days constantly now. I have a fever every single night, and iv had it all day today too. Plus my tonsils are incredibly swollen and my neck and back aches, and iv a horrid headache. Low appetite, and have barely slept in days because of being constantly hot then cold.

Does this sound normal?! Normally, a 'flu' or whatever would go away in a few days time?

Answers
1)   It shoulds like tonsilitus but obviously im no doctor the best thing you can do is wrap up warm drink loads of fluid and rest - Andy

2)   sleep and cover yourself, and sweat in it, so that you are alwyas watrm this is what i was told i was lawyas better the day after becuase the body needs to sweat out all the bacturias and you need to do so, by sleeping and cover yourself sound stupid but ti works with me..or go to the doctot and waste money - jy

3)   get back to your doc - mercury

4)   It sounds normal to me and flu can last for 2 weeks. Colds last a few days but flu is a much more serious illness than a cold and will take longer for you to recover from.
I would do what the doctor has told you as they know best and stop worrying. Once the weather gets better you will be on the mend. - bty81216349

Question 2
Should I go to the doctor now?...  For the past 3 days I've been battling some type of cold or flu, first day I woke up with a sore bronchial tube, and every time I coughed it hurt fairly badly, I had a fever of 99, second day I woke up and my sheets in my bed were wet with sweat and I was hot, I still had my cough and I was coughing more, but my chest was starting to feel better. I had a head ache through the day I think it was a sinus head ache. Third day I woke up fairly nicely my cough is almost gone, and my chest feels a lot better. The only thing that was weird was I had a feeling overwhelm me for like half a second, it kind of was like right before you get into an accident or like when everything is quite and your dog barks in your ear, that feeling like that type of surge. It is still going on randomly. I took my temperature and it was 102.5. I just took some Motrin, 3, 200mg tablets. But other then that odd feeling and my temperature I feel great minimal head ache and my cough is pretty much gone. Should I go to the doctor? What do you think I had/have? Let me know guys what you think. I'm 20 6'1 and 150lbs, non smoker, (Good Drinker haha :) )

Question 4
severe constipation and I'm only 17?...  I have severe constipation, I haven't gone to the bathroom for over 3 weeks and I'm starting to feel really sick. I've taken pills to help and taken fiber but so far nothing. I have IBS so maybe thats partly why. Can anyone help? I went to the doctor and took a blood test and thats how they found IBS he also said I'm not eating right. I've been trying to change my diet, but so far there's nothing...
I'm 17 years old so I just want to feel normal around my friends... please help?

Answers
1)   three weeks is dangerous, you could have what we call an "illeus", meaning your intestine is dying.
suggest you see a doctor asap.
The primary cause of constipation is lack of adequate water, the body needs a minimum of two liters of water every single day. - essentiallysolo

2)   Take maylox no joke it gives you diarrhea I suggest you take like 3 tablets - ♥Southern Girl♥

3)   As already suggested - go and see your Doc.
Three weeks is too long to neglect this.
Once they've sorted you out, you might find that having baked beans a couple of times a week is helpful (it's an old stand-by in homes for older people where constipation can be a real problem) and I have a lovely recipe called 5-cup bran loaf which works wonders as well as tasting good.
I cup all-bran mixed with a cup of milk and leave in fridge overnight.
Next day, add 1 cup sugar, 1 cup self-raising flour, 1 cup dried fruits - currants sultanas, etc.
Add a pinch of all spice if you like it.
Turn mixture into a very well butter loaf tin, some dots of butter on top and bake in a moderate oven for 30-40 minutes.
It freezes well and is lovely sliced and toasted with butter. - Veronica Alicia

4)   You probably need to see your doctor again ot go to an ER or Urgent Care clinic. If you seriously have not gone in 3 weeks, there may be a problem with a bowel obstruction or blockage or you may have a stricture in your colon. Your doctor can order x-rays to find out. You need to be drinking plenty of water (8-10 eight ounce glasses every day) and eating a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Take an over-the-counter stool softener every day, even on the days you have a "normal" bowel movement. Don't drink any soda or tea. Those are dehydrating and can cause constipation. - VCL

Question 5
How do I get rid of fugus under my toenails?...

Answers
1)   Go to a doctor. - Abercromby

2)   You can get stuff from the pharmacy for it, it's simply called a fungal nail infection. Do treat it though or it will spread! - GreeneBogey

3)   You need to see your doctor to get a prescription. Since it's under your toenails, there is no topical ointment or medication you can apply. You can try soaking your toes in mouthwash but it may not work and if it does, it would take a very long time. - Kathleen

4)   take oral medication for 6 months, apply a prescription product costing $150 or buy tea tree oil at the local health food store for $30. i opted for the tea tree oil because i couldn't tolerate the oral medication and i didn't want to charge my insurance company for the $150 Rx. i applied it
twice daily for several months and the fungus was gone. - sal1970
