Allergy - how to stop coughing at night?

Question 1
Allergy - how to stop coughing at night?...  My husband has an allergy which makes his throat and eyes scratchy, and he coughs all night long. He has an itchy throat - what can he do to stop coughing at night?

1)   has he tried propping his self up so his is slightly sitting up that helps stop u coughing - Angela (Solicitor)over 20 yrs

2)   benadryl - Dad411

3)   I have this problem, too.
He might try propping up somewhat with his pillow for better drainage. He should also be using a sinus rinse daily (they have them at Walgreen's) and it's easy and painless to do. It makes a big difference after a few weeks. - texmom

4)   I have the same problem. I just take benadryl before going to bed it helps me. Or try any kind of allergy medicine, I take benadryl because it also helps me sleep. - tiredofbeingscrewed

5)   I have had this problem as well. Mine seems to stem from the type of pillow that i use. The best is a poly-non allergic pillow. They are usual very cheap.

hope it helps - rezapasha

7)   He should drink something warm before going to bed. There are many wonderful teas he can drink. - Pamela T

Question 3
Should I bring my inhaler? (please help)?...  I have exercise induced asthma and I have an inhaler that I take 30 minutes prior to exercise. But yesterday I had to take it to relieve symptoms even though I wasn't exercising. I am going to my friends house today to watch a football game. My question is:
Should I bring my inhaler just in case I need it, or do you think I will be fine?
By the way I'm a 13 year old girl and was diagnosed with exercise induced asthma about 2 months ago.

Answers
1)   Sometimes dieting and working out just is not the be-all and end-all, as there will be additional weight just lying around in your colon. It is not body fat, therefore it can't be melted off, but it will be flushed out, just by using a supplement. http://helont.makersdiet.info has a risk free offer on offer right now, I gave it a whirl and shed 17 pounds!! Who says there's no magic bullett? LOL!!! - Marcel

2)   Whats the harm in bringing it just in case?

Its better to be safe than sorry. And you would be VERY sorry if you needed your puffer when you didnt have it.

Bring it with you. - ash

3)   I'd take your inhaler with you just to be on the safe side. Talk to you parents sounds like a chat with your asthma nurse would be a good idea so you learn more about your condition. - A N Mouse

4)   If it's a rapid acting medication like "albuterol", then it wouldn't hurt to take it along. If it's a steroid-based inhaler, it will not work in an acute asthma attack! So, you be the judge.
