I have NEVER had the flu- ever. Is it possible then that some people are simply immune to the flu?...  I'm serious- I've had one or two common colds, but never the flu. Every year, everyone else will be aching, vomiting and generally miserable and I'll be walking around among them as healthy as a horse. Is it possible that some people are simply immune or do you suppose that is it simply a good immune system at work?

1)   i don't think it's a very good idea because a girl who got the swine flu shot a couple days later got dystonia and they don't have a cure for that so i wouldn't get if i were you. Dystonia is when you can only walk back wards and run but when you walk forward you get all jerky and can't talk or walk. - LIL D':]

3)   This year's shot hurt more then in years previous why I'm not sure. It is a very small thin needle but will leave your arm soar a few hours afterwords. As far as the swing flu shot I'm going to tell you what my doctor told me yesterday while giving my 2 year old the regular flu shot. He doesn't recommend getting the swine flu vaccine for one big reason. The government ask the company to put it together so fast that the company made the government sign a waver saying that they are not responsible should something go wrong with it. 4)   Um, the actual shot does not hurt but it is common to have tenderness and muscle weakness where the injection went.

So people think it is beneficial some do not believe in it. As will all vaccines there is the potential of a negative reaction. The odds of a negative reaction are like 1 in 2 million people.

Smoking in the work place?...  I a previous smoker and I was finally able to quiet two years ago. I work in a small town in Kentucky and my guys at work smoke endlessly. The best way I can describe it: try working in a bar for 8 hours a day !!!!

My problem is that I am suffering from a permanent sinus infection which can get serious if not treated. Second hand smoking is very bad for it and in my case over the counter medications do not work if i worked every day in such environment. I stayed on steroids for two month but it's coming back and I really believe that if i wasn't around smokers as much, my sinus infection would have been a lot better. For people that do not know, sinus infection makes you absolutely miserable.

I know that in Kentucky the laws are not clear but who do I ask about his? is there anything that can be done in that regards without having to quiet my job?

3)   I agree with Yvette - you should change the environment you are in (seeing as it is a bar), you can work at another place or restaurant where smoking isn't allowed. Am i sick enough to go to the doctor?!?...  ok well i was wondering if i am sick enough to go to the doctor i have a low fever its like 98 a sore throat, a bad cough, a small ear ache
and i have been sick since saturday

1)   If you don't have any other underlying diseases like asthma, heart disease, COPD, diabetes etc, you should hold off about 5-7 days. If then you are still sick, it's time to go to the doctor. That is a rule of thumb thing.

IF, you are having trouble breathing, have chest pain, feel like your going to die or have any other life threatening signs or symptoms, go to the ER ASAP.

No one on Yahoo answers can accurately diagnosis you or give you adequate medical advice over the internet. If you have any questions or are not sure about the situation, go see a doctor or go to the ER.
