???IS THIS NOT ENOUGH SLEEP?

Question 1
???IS THIS NOT ENOUGH SLEEP?...  i always get a very little time to sleep during mondays through fridays. probably about 5 hours, or sometimes 4. i then go to school after that. then when sometimes when i have the time to sleep for 9 hours, it feels like that im more tired when i sleep for 9 hours. i heard that the average amount of sleep i should get is about 9 hours. but still am more tired when i do. why is that? and im feeling sleepy all the time during school even when i get plenty of sleep.

Answers
1)   theres such thing as power sleep where you get like 20 minz of sleep and your not tired. I dont no how u can get it though ive only had it once - I love MJ

2)   kids need 8 hours of sleep....
when ur older u only need like 5 or 6 - Ddoo77

3)   you prob burn very little energy by staying on the comp or playing a VG or watching tv and end up getting just a fine amount of sleep for your schedule

and the sleepyness at school is nothing more than boredom - Cal

4)   its because your body isn't used to it. you only need 4 hours of REM sleep, but it usually takes 2 hours to get there and 2 hours to come down. when you sleep for 9 hours you are getting too much sleep which can make you just as tired as when you sleep too little. your body is used to getting to and getting out of REM in less time. - Ayleen

5)   i get about the same amount of sleep. eat some breakfast or go to bed earlier - Cyaniide v2

6)   your brain got used to you sleeping like that i have the same issue i am starting to sleep everytime a bit earlier and it is working sleep more it is healtheir for you - sweetchocalate

7)   Same here I barely get any sleep on school days I get the same amount of sleep 4-5 hours. Once I only got to sleep for an hour and a half because I was left alone to finish a science project by myself. But there are days where I can sleep a lot more for more than 8 hours but I still feel tired. It probably could be because you are bored at school that sometimes happens to me. - Ashley

8)   Your body is becoming accustomed to short amounts of sleep. This is not healthy, but pretty normal when you are young. You have probably screwed up your glands a little from your unfunctional sleeping habits, I wouldn't worry though. When you get older your sleep patterns will fix themselves. - J

9)   It's because your body is used to sleeping for 4-5 hours. Try having a more regular schedule when you sleep. Even if you get less sleep than you should, if you get the same sleep every night, you will feel less tired after about a week. No napping either, that just ruins everything. - russ

10)   Assuming you're a teen, 9~10 hours should be perfect... lack of sleep can be bad on very many levels, and 5 hours just isn't right... for you or your test scores.
Oversleeping may lead to complications, but i would recommend avoiding not getting enough sleep. - Kiwi

11)   ugh i went through that phase.

the average amount of sleep you need is about 9 hrs, 15 min.
in the morning if you are sleepy, try to eat breakfast and take a shower.
you might be tired and sleepy because of routine of your everyday life. try something different.
you could always pretend you are 'sick' and stay home to rest. just try to get as much sleep as you can. - kimm.

12)   try sleeping during the day and sleep earlier than you normally do maybe 10 hours will do the trick either that or you don't have a lot of Energy. - Frank

13)   It seems you're an adolescent. This means there's a good chance you're still growing waay fast. As a teen, you need a good 9 1/2 hours of sleep to support all the growing, not to mention the school, homework, etc. The reason you still feel tired is because even if you have this week, 4,4,4,4,4,9,9, you are having a very inconsistent sleep pattern, which will kind of confuse your body. Your body still feels like it's running on empty, trying to make up for lost rest. Even if you can squeeze in just an hour or two more, there's a good chance you'll feel much better soon. But that will take a while, definetly not overnight. Your body will need signifigant recharge, and after maybe a week or two of a little more sleep, you'll feel better, and with more energy :D hope i helped :D - Darby T

Question 2
Is it possible that I can be allergic to my table?...  Is it possible that I can be allergic to my table?
Cause like my table is shedding or something and when i push my hands against it, all these wood things get stuck to my hand and i have to wash it off. Then a few days later, every time my hand touches my table, I start breaking out in hives and only in the area that touched the table.
Can I be allergic to it or something? I'm 14 years of age.
i had this table since like 3rd grade and im in 9th grade now. and this just started like 5 days ago
and i use water to clean my table. how can i be allergic to water? ):

Answers
1)   if you have a wooden table it is possible you are allergic to the wood or even the cleaner you use to clean the table. - p_borino

2)   It is wood. People can be allergic to wood....... - Handy with Johnson

3)   Make sure you dont get any splinters stuck in your skin. And you could be allergic try to find out what material its made out of. - Magda

4)   ahahah your question cracked me up!
but idk, allergic to wood? never heard of that.
go to the doc, theyll answer the question for yah - Sierra W

5)   I don't think that's possible.
Maybe your skin is still very sensible to when the wood things got stuck into your hand.So I'd advise you to be careful and maybe put some cream in your hands so they'll heal faster. - Minsu

6)   You could be allergic to the wood of the table. Heck, I'm slightly allergic to oak and maple. - Machovict

7)   maybe you are allegeric to the cleaner you use - kimm.

8)   yes its possible to be allergic to the wood the tables made of, but im a carpenter and i dont know what kind of wood your talking about that "sheds" when pressing on it, it could be particle board but people dont usually make tales out of that. or maybe the stain/paint your table has on it, could be chipping off and thats what your allergic to.
Edit: if youve had it for 6 years, it could be dust, mold (if it wasnt finished properly) the cleaner you use, if you havent cleaned in it a while, whatevers on there, id take the advice of the girl that said try a tablecloth. - noodlecakes

9)   Try covering the table with a tablecloth.
There may be something on the table which is giving you an allergic response. The tablecloth will prevent whatever it is from getting onto your skin. For a more thorough approach, you might get the table sanded and painted. - Luci D

10)   Are you sure it isn't dust?
Maybe there is something on the table that is causing the allergic reaction. Has this been going on as long as you've had the table? It could very well be the wood, maybe find out what kind it is and try to find another piece of it and see if that piece gives you hives also. - Katherine

Question 3
should my kids get the H1N1 flu vaccine one w/ autism?...  iam pretty much stressing out about this, i see all this media about how bad the h1n1 is and that u can die, well it makes it seem like if u get the h1n1 flu u WILL DIE!? and then my feeling are that it was rushed and i dont want my kids to be test dummies...also one of my daughters 5 has mild autism and i am concerned of getting her the h1n1 or the seasonal flu vaccine because i scared it may make her autism symtoms worse? pls try to anser all my guestions..sorry so long. thanks

Answers
1)   I heard that the vaccine does funny stuff to you. I read that a lady got it and now she cant walk or talk, that when she walks back words she talks fine. I have had the h1n1 yes its not fun but i lived it. I think you need to get your kids tested only if the get a head ache or a high fever - Rachel M

2)   no no no. they give kids the nasal spray which is the live virus. and you say one of your kids has autism. Hell no , DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM - Elizabeth

3)   My son is also autistic and I wouldnt give him the vaccines either. It has mercury on the vaccine and I still believe the mercury played a big part in my son's Autism. - flawless1212

4)   i agree with these people, do not give it 2 them something bad might happen, you never know - jrp model,

5)   The media is so stupid. It's just like the regular flu, you won't die if your healthy, but if you have cancer, your pregknat, have some sort deisase, basically, you'll die if your already sick with something serious, but I'm getting it. JUST DONT GET THE NASAL SPRAY! Their putting the live virus in you, I dont get how in the world that helps, its probably some sort of super complicated thing. BTW some public schools are having free vaccines for it. AND my neighbor's grandkid has it, he sick in bed with a high fever, and he tested positive, but his little sister tested negitive, and she's sicker than them!!
Their just little kids too. - ♥Shelbyhere♥

Question 4
Do I have pink eye?? It really hurts?...  There is alot of white stuff coming out of my eye and it is very red.

Answers
1)   is it itchy ? usually it will be itcy and the white part of ur eye will look like it has a tint of pink , - justin bieber is awsome

2)   Take your eye out and wash it - Paul

3)   No you probably have conjunctivitis. Go to your doc, or you can go to the pharmacy for some over the counter eye drops. Its pretty gross, but it should clear up in a couple of days, just try not to spread the infection to the other eye, coz that would really suck. - Tara

4)   Pink eye is really just a general term to describe a number of different types of eye infections. You have pus coming out of your eye, that is a good indication that you should get some antibiotics from your doctor. If it was just red without the pus, I'd recommend over the counter eye drops for pink eye (conjunctivitis) or those marked dry eye relief or 'tear replacers'. Not the ones for red eye relief - which is just cosmetic. Visine also makes eye wipes called Total Eye that you can clear away the pus without irritating your eye or the skin around it. - kjbrasda
