1)   You have a sinus infection. You have classic symptoms. Pressure in the face, headache, heat. All symptoms of an infection.

Try putting a warm washcloth on your face, warm water not hot. Just let it sit there warming it as it cools. It will make your face feel better, especially your eyes.

If your unsure if it's a sinus infection, try bending at the waist and touching your toes. When you stand back up your face and head is going to throb. That's your sinuses talking. - obe

2)   it is a sinus infection. I had an episode this month and it was horrible. You sound much better off than I was. Relax and stop thinking about the tumor. - NiceGirl

3)   To Treat a Sinus Infection Drink warm Fluids that are high in Protein, sugars, electrolytes, vitamins and minerals. Relax you'll be Okay. - Hector

Question 3
I have a red lump on the inside of my nose piercing. What should I do?...  Ok, so I've had my nose pierced for about 2 weeks now and I've been having such trouble with it.

It was pierced with a needle and my piercer put in a stainless steel straight post nose ring with a ball on the end. I thought I was having no trouble until about the 4th day when it fell out. I cleaned it and put it back in right away but when I looked inside my nose, I noticed a red lump was forming around the hole and I couldn't get the ball through the inside of my nose.

I've been back to my piercer twice since I've had it pierced and she said I should buy creme with cortosone in it (I think that is what it's called) and if the lump was a keyloid, it should go down. I was applying this for a few days and I noticed the lump had greatly diminished so I went back to the studio a second time and she was able to push my jewlery back through my nose without re-piercing because it wasn't grown over.

Now, it's 4 days later, and I can no longer see the ball on the inside and the lump is re-appearing :( I honestly don't think the straight post I have in is long enough for my nose anyway, so I bought a corkscrew at the studio and my piercer tried to put it in the last time I was there but she couldn't get it in. It was hurting too much where my nose piercing was still so fresh and she had just pushed the jewlery through.

What should I do? I've been reapplying the creme and cleaning with anti-bacterial soap daily like I was told to do. If I can get the lump to go down again, I would imagine the inside of my nose will be nearly grown over once again or completely grown over this time :(

I really like my piercing and want to keep it. She told me I should try to put in the corkscrew myself if it was doing well in a few days but it's not. I don't think it's infected...there is no puss, although it is a little more painful this time around. The red lump (which I THINK is a keyloid) hurts to touch. I try not to touch my nose often but I need to in order to look inside my nose.

Ugh, I'm stressed out. Did anyone have a similiar problem to mine? I've read many posts on here about lumps forming but most people's seem to just be around the piercing and don't interfere with the jewlery actually going through the nose. Mine won't stay through the inside cuz of this stupid lump!

Any ideas?

Thanks much!

- Ashley

1)   Get a knife after you take the piercing out oh and make sure you put it over fire and then stick in the hole because its infected and you need to boil the puss out and seal the hole hope I helped. Oh and this will hurt - Jonathan B

2)   use proactive or skin id and also u can just wash your face a lot and it'll start going away - Skin Deep

Question 4
How does cancer develop?...  I know there are a huge variety of cancers but generally, and maybe the most common, how do they really develop.
Does this have anything to do with genetic mutation?
Does this also have anything to do with the environment that we live in?
What about the form of adaptation?

Answers
1)   It is disease tissue sometimes it can be genetic like breast cancer.
This is bad cancer. Breast cancer is genetic. I know this one for sure.
You just have to educate yourself, get x-rays gone. yearly so you can save your life. Think of this way, aging is a disease.
Stop Cancer now. Get your yearly checkups. - Susanne

2)   Yes, it has everything to do with genetic mutations. Cancer cells are cells that develop the ability to do things that cells are not normally supposed to do, such as multiplying continuously or spreading to other parts of the body (called "metastasis"). Both of these "abilities" are caused by mutations in the cell's DNA.

Normally, cells that develop these abilities are programmed to die. However when a mutation in the genes causes this "programmed death" not to happen you have cancer. - DannyMD

Question 5
Swine Flu Exposure and pregnancy?...  I am 13 weeks pregnant, and one of my coworkers has a documented case of swine flu at home. he left today with flu like symptoms. My OB prescribed tamiflu, but I am a little leery of it. However, I do have underlying respiratory issues, and I wonder if this falls under the cdc's "benefits outweigh risks to the foetus' cases.

Mostly I just want to see if other women took tamiflu in early pregnancy and if they were okay.

1)   Ask a doctor instead of asking these "online doctors". You are getting advice from the wrong source. If you cant tell the difference between legitimate advice and BS advice, then I really feel sorry for your kid who is about to be born with you as his/her mother. - Sean
