DRINK LOTS OF FLUIDS. majorly important.
finish at least one bottle of water.

don't take medicine unless it gets really bad.

5)   You need to see your doctor. Could be a bacterial infection, bronchitis, or H1N1. You need to see your PCP ASAP as you have been dealing with this going on week 2. Hope you feel better soon. - Kelly W

Question 2
why do we have to drink lots of fluids when we're sick?...

Answers
1)   To try and flush the illness out the body. Also you can become dehydrated - ponloveszi

2)   because when you're sick your immune system is more vulnerable and you can get dehydrated easier and you need to drink fluids to help flush out all the germs and other "bad stuff" that is in your body when you're sick. - peytongirl

3)   If you are making lots of mucous you need extra fluids.
If you are not eating much you need to drink fluids more to make up for your body not getting any from solid food ( there is plenty of fluids in the food we eat too)
If you are vomiting or have diarrhea then you also need to replace the fluids that your body lost through these. - Los Ojos

4)   Because fever, sweating, vomiting and diarrhea or excess production of mucus can dehydrate you. If this happens, at BEST you will take longer to recover from the illness. - windwalkingwolf

Question 3
i got told yesterday i have swine flu by my doc?...  i was wondering can i still pick my 11 month old son up, or do i just not kiss him, i have a 2 year old an 4 an 8 aswell but under one i think was more a concern, and i started taking tamiflue yesterday but when am i not infectious to people.

Answers
1)   as long as that kids not homeschooled. - _heartbreak

2)   You should try to stay away from kissing your son for now just to make sure he doesn't get it. I had the flu recently and they gave me medicine for swine flu called tamaflu and it worked pretty well i feel a lot better. You should get better in about a week or so. - HIJKLMNOP

3)   I'd say avoid picking him up without thoroughly washing your hands first. Make sure when you cough, sneeze, that you do it into your elbow and not your hands.
You should ask your doctor about how long your treatment will take, and how long should you stay indoors after your sickness is over, but usually they say you're fine 48 - 72 hours after your fever breaks. - Jessica

4)   I read in the national paper that Swine flu actually affects those aged between 4 and 13 the most, so your 4 and 8 year old's could in affect be more at risk than your 11 month old.

Alot of people at my workplace have come down with swine flu, but after about 72 hours have been cleared and allowed to return to work. I'm not sure whether they would of had the same strain as you, but definately get the tamiflu as quickly as poss if the doctor thinks it's right.

I hope this helps! - James

Is there a good natural way to get rid of acne fast?...  I keep my face clean all day long but seem to always have have acne no matter what soap I use, I tried clearasil but nothing has really worked yet. Looking for a natural way to get rid of it fast!

Answers
1)   You and your buddies (multiple accounts) who like to post questions and answers to "spread your spam" need to find some place else to advertise and get the hell off Y/A. - flika

2)   Try using lemons. Dab the juice directly on any red outbreaks. The citrus acid in the juice kills the bacteria that cause acne. - thor

3)   how old are u? because if you are a teenager u'll have acne no matter what!! -.- if u are an adult then the situation is different - Carmen

4)   Not really, no.

Just wash your face with warm water regularly to keep it clean.

And also, don't touch your face as this can transfer bacteria from fingers to face which can spread acne further.

Acne is a natural process which the vast majority of teenage boys suffer through, so try not to worry about it as no-one notices your acne to the extent you do, or to the extent that you believe they do. - Joe

If you've taken a medication that is used to "dry up" your sinuses, then it can also cause your nose to dry out and this can cause nose bleeds. Use a saline nose spray (NON-MEDICATED) to help keep your nasal passage moist. - Jessi
