I pierced my own nose, is it infected?

Question 1
I pierced my own nose, is it infected?...  I pierced my nose about 5 days ago, myself.
I ended up getting the needle all the way through, but the piercing was to short so the hole was closed at the end. It's seemed fine, but this morning i woke up, and I took it out to spray Bactine on it, and pus came out. A lot of pus. I like squeezed it all out(sorry for the graphic images lol)
and didn't put my nose piercing back in. I decided just to let it heal, since I'm not even allowed to have one.
Will it be okay? Do I have to go to the doctor?
Thanks!

Answers
1)   It could be since you did it yourself. Never do peircings yourself because you may not have all the stuff that prevents the infection of peircing anywhere. I suggest going to the doctor incase. Hope I helped. : ) - Taylor L

2)   Pus means infection. However, if you keep antibacterial on it, and it seems to be healing, you should be fine. If it starts to get red and angry looking and hurts like hell, go to the doctor. - flutistyva

3)   www.bestsellzone.com good quality, new style, I love it. - Lin

4)   I am inclined to say that putting antibiotics on it will keep it from progressing from a simple inflammation to a full blown serious infection. But then again, we're talking about a part of your body you'd look pretty odd without. Maybe a trip to the doctor. You don't want to fool around with it. - American Splendor

5)   Any piercing will excrete some pus or whatever. I got my navel pierced and i thought it was infected, bc it was kind of painful and puss-y. I ended up taking the ring out and sanitizing it, as well as the piercing putting it back in and leaving it alone. Kind of more difficult to do on yournose though ;) MY navel is fine now... - Strawberry

Question 3
how do you handle ovarian cysts?...  I am also unable to become pregnant and have been told that left untreated they can turn into cancer escipally since I have Hpv
I am a 22 yr old female and I have several ovarian cysts and suffer from daily pelvic and back pain I assume is caused by the cysts however I also get dizzy and have hot flashes and have sever migraine headaches atleast twice a week if you have any of these symptoms please share your story with me in hopes that it might offer some advice in how to deal with it

Answers
1)   You have to get them removed from you OBGYN. - Strawberry

2)   when I had an ovarian cyst, the doctor told me to avoid caffeine. Your situation sounds more complicated. Listen to your doctor. LOL - honey1

3)   You should be talking to your doctor. I had a 4 pound cyst going from one ovary to the other. I had a total hysterectomy. I had no choice; they initially told me it was cancerous. Thankfully, it wasn't.

My symptoms were pain and the inability to sleep on either side of my body. Also bleeding, both vaginally and rectally.

You're so young. If I were you, I'd go to the best gyno/surgeon you can find in your area. Discuss all your options and find a solution that makes life a bit more comfortable for you. If it's a TAH, then that's what you should do. There are many other options regarding children etc.

You may want to go to the web site hystersisters.com Loads of information and resources.
Best of luck, hun. - ?

4)   I don't know who told you that. I have ovarian cysts, and yes they can be painful. I've had to take an ambulance to the hospital and they've given me two shots of morphine and still the pain can break through.

I have never heard that they can become cancerous. Hpv has nothing to do with ovarian cysts.

Some strains of Hpv can cause dysplasia of the cervix and that's why you get yearly pap smears. Dysplasia is not cancer. It is the stage before cells MAY become cancerous.

My cousin has really bad ovarian cysts and she has a couple kids. Please get your information from a doctor and not from whomever is giving you mis-information now. - Jules
