do acne treatments and creams cause more acne over time?

Question 1
do acne treatments and creams cause more acne over time?...  My older brother says that acne medicine and creams make pimples go away for a bit and then bring more pimples so that the company can make money off you buying their product multiple times. Is this true? and what homemade acne treatment is proven to work?

Answers
1)   then can...they can also cause you to be allergic to the stuff, then it LOOKS like acne, but isn't really and no home remedies really work.
see a Dr - Chrys

2)   The only bit of truth to that is that it CAN cause more acne, if your skin doesn't respond well.
Some moisturizing acne medications, for instance, may work for one guy, but be too oily for the next and that causes their pores to become blocked.

The best OTC thing I used as a kid was Nature's Cure. This was before Proactiv and all those lovely commercials for $50 medications. At the time it was only $15, but I'm not sure now. The chewable pill works your body from the inside, and the cream is a strong concoction found in most other acne products to dry out pimples.

You'll want to use a pH balanced moisturizer, exfoliate, and use antibacterial facial soaps. You don't need fancy things. - Aristes

3)   not exactly...it just likee ur face gets so use to it that it needs to be changed/

u can try medication or creams or face washes
Proactiv has worked for me
And a great anti-biotic to help stop acne is Ratio-Minocycline ..it really worked for me too:) - etkhrtkjhwer

4)   I used to use Clearasil and it seemed to work, helped a little. I don't think they bring more pimples later.

I have found that eating less greasy foods helps and don't drink coke or dark colored pop and no chocolate and drink enough water and get exercise, that is what really helps.

I have heard that colloidal silver from the health store will kill pimples, but I have never tried it, I don't have pimples anymore since I started eating better. But maybe I just grew out of it too, who knows.

I think getting sun on my face helped too, I don't remember. I just remember that it was so hard to make them go away, until I was about 23 years old. - You may be right

Question 5
If you take tablets for High Cholesterol can that make you drowsy?...  I have just started 20 mg of Crestor rosuvasatin because my LDL count was 4.8 & 5.0 is considered high risk, only just started them last night & this morning i felt like complete crap, can medication lead to fatigue?

Answers
1)   Sorry if im inaccurate for this answer, but im going to take a wild guess.

I say yes it could make you drowsy. This could be as the medicine affects the liver, because the liver is a factor in controlling cholestoral amounts. So a change to the liver can also change its functions. One function of the liver is to take a part in controlling blood pressure. And if blood pressure decreases, this could cause drowsiness.

But i am sure this is not the reason why lol. Anyone agree? - Superb

2)   I have never heard of anybody getting fatigue from Crestor. Especially after taking it after a day. I would check their website and look for the side effects. It may just be in your head, or maybe could you be coming down with something? If it gets worse def. consult your dr.! Good Luck. - JennyH
