Why does my four year old child keep suffering from cold sores and mouth ulsers?

Why does my four year old child keep suffering from cold sores and mouth ulsers?...  My Healthy four year old son keep suffering from cold sores. Yesterday, i noticed he had bitten the inside of his lip which is no big deal, but he woke up this morning with a massive cold sore. He is very well, no fever or anything, infact, I have only noticed that he has also developed mouth ulsers on his tongue without him complaining. He is in perfect form, but my worry is, these cold sores at the conner of his mouth keep appearing. They started when he was taken into care over a year ago, and was returned to my care 7 months later, but at the time he was in care, they kept appearing every other time and since his return home 7 months on, this is the second time they have appeared. My child is generally healthy and these sores and ulsers actually don't affect him in anyway, but I need to know why they keep turning up, and what I should do to stop them. Its saturday and there is no open phamarcy where i live, and i wish to know if there is any ointment i can pick up from the conner shops. I will not be able to see his doctor until monday and I need to help him now. I will appreciate your advise.

take your child o the doctors with a food diary , that was you can eliminate a poor diet

3)   gurgle with warm water and salt would help until you see a doctor. mouth wash with alcohol is not advincable especially for children. mouth hygiene is the best prevention by doing it atleast 2x a day and brushing his tongue

4)   I am not 100 percent sure (I have no idea actually, just what I would assume at first), but I thought cold sores and ulcers of the mouth was herpes. Which would come from someone else. Web MD is actually real helpful on that. Before I put that answer in I read a book I have on child illness it says that cold sores come from a permanent virus that isn't curable and results in a cold sore ever now and than. - Miss Kaoz

They can also get the infection from someone who doesn't have a visible sore but has the virus in his or her saliva. In others, it periodically wakes up and triggers cold sores. Nobody knows what stirs the virus into action, but stress, fever, colds, and sunburn seem to encourage outbreaks.

If your child already has the virus, the best thing you can do is keep his immune system strong by making sure he gets a healthful diet, plenty of sleep, and regular exercise. Also avoid triggers that may stress your child's body such as getting a cold or flu.

You should protect your child from the sun as well. If he ventures outside on a sunny day, slather him with sunscreen and put on a lip balm that contains sunblock. - kelly e

Any experience with athletes foot?...  My husband has had athletes foot for as long as i can remember. He gets it gone to come straight back. We've tried most all otc medicine and then some crazy stuff. A steroid cream we had around the house done as good as the fungal med.

I need a tried and true method.

2)   some people have an immune system that allows this to happen. it is also common in diabetics. there is a medication out he can take by mouth. it will take a long time to get rid of it but this medication ends up curing fungal infections from the inside out.

Do you have to have the same blood type to donate a kidney?...  My young husband was diagnosed with kidney disease this week. I am devastated. My question is do we have to have the same blood type for me to give him one of my kidneys. His left one is totally non functional and hs right is at 50%. Now his blood tests at discharge were better and he feels a little better. I am believing in God he will be ok..

3)   I think you do have to have the same blood type. I have read, though, about programs where people can swap kidneys...say there is another couple out there where one needs a kidney, and you are a match for them, and their spouse is a match for your husband. They could donate to your husband, and you could donate to them. It supposedly cuts down on the waiting time a lot. I don't know any details at all, but I'm sure you could Google it and find out. Is it possible to get rabies from...?...  This morning I found my cat eating a mouse outside. She was almost finished so it probably has been dead for 5 min or so (I don't know how long it takes for a cat to eat most of a mouse). Anyways, I saw blood on the leaves under/nearby it it and thinking it was cool I picked up the leaves by the stems (where there was no visible blood) and looked at it. No visible blood, saliva, etc got onto my hands. I never touch the mouse or even put my hand near it. I wash my hands afterward and I don't have any open cuts or anything. So is there any chance of rabies? I know the chance is probably very very low and this question might sound ridiculous, but it's been bugging me. Thanks.
